creative bug: what will you make today?
it’s new and it’s pretty fantastic! creative bug is a new online how-to website, your go-to source for online diy, art and craft instruction. creative bug has gathered some of the most inspiring designers and crafters around to bring video workshops right to your screen. looking to learn something new? their online workshops provide project ideas, expert guidance and a healthy dose of creative inspiration, from knitting and bookbinding, to screen printing to jewelry making, it’s all under one roof. and for $25 dollars a month, you have unlimited access to all of it.
what i really fell for was that each class instructor has an awesome introductory video so you can get to know the artists and gain insight into their stories. in this video (i dare you not to be intrigued!) local san francisco artist lisa coris talks about the method behind her madness and the art of jewelry design. i also love that creative bug keeps a library of your favorites and even remembers where you left off, just in case you want to continue later. Each workshop is broken down into video segments so you can skip ahead or watch a video again and again until you master a technique.
creative bug is also striving to make a difference by donating 5% of all subscription revenues to non-profit art organizations. So, what are you waiting for? go online, Make a pattern. Make a print. Make a difference.
