tuesday’s girl: the blues.

when it comes right down to it, i’m a big fan of classic styles. i love a good peacoat, blue jeans and a white tee shirt, or blouse. i try and venture outside every once in a while and throw on some neon, but it’s not really me. navy, black and white, is pretty much a staple in my wardrobe. i love the look and i think it probably suits me, more than perhaps say, a hot pink mini. but that doesn’t mean i can’t do some madcap mix and match! here’s some favorite looks of mine.

love this mixed up bunch of blues; i’d like to pull off a blonde top bun, via favim; i never thought i’d be sharing an olsen twin, even though i admire their sense of style, but i love this oversized mens shirt look with loads of baubles, so i’ve been on the hunt for one just like this, with white french cuffs; i’ll take a pair of baggy levi’s any day; and dress them up with a jcrew navy blue bubble necklace for fun.

a perfectly classic dress with an extra bit of wow factor, kate ermilio via from me to you.

love this dressed up/dressed down look from sincerely, jules; anthropologie frayed navy blue blow satchel; anthropologie’s katydid silk blouse; a favorite mix and match look from lucy laucht; and wrap it up with jcrew’s navy and white polka-dot scarf!

Navy blue is such a great colour and so versatile. I really love the boyfriend jeans that you have put up there. I have been looking for a good pair at a reasonable price. Surprisingly hard to find! Any suggestions would very very welcomed :)

Lucy Laucht is such a style inspiration for me. She is also one of the reasons I started blogging. The way she mixes patterns and colours is genius! Go Lucy Go!

  6. i really think that navy is a neutral!
i’ve been wearing it more and more in place of black.
and Yelena – go thrifting! Goodwill or Salvation Army.
that’s where i have always found the best boyfriend jeans!
