THE JEALOUS CURATOR: ART GOES HERE.
hello! so, i have emerged from last week’s guest room, and now i’m ready for a little dinner! how about something delicious on our plates, and something gorgeous on this wall:
my first thought for this space. a really, really big circle. maybe with a few candy sprinkles.
sigh. i love this work. all of these large scale, circular panels, are by canadian artist ben skinner. wide-eyed kitties who will try to entrance you with their nostalgia, silver glitter text, and a truckload of candy sprinkles {yes, it’s true – that middle piece is completely coated in candy sprinkles – love!}
now, black walls can make a room a bit dark – but here’s a way to add some fabulously artsy light:
oh my word, yes! the stunning work of paris-based, hungarian artist mathias kiss. all three of these pieces are from a series titled, miroir froissé.
so, you know how your dog watches you eat, with complete focus? well now you can dine while being watched by a deer, or a polar bear!
amazing. these are paintings on top of large scale photographs – gorgeous right? right! they are the work of french artist charlotte caron, and i love them very, very much. ok, i’m off to find more art that i love very, very much. see you in two weeks ~ danielle {aka the jealous curator}

oh danielle — your posts always inspire. you are so very clever. :)
thank you so much katrina! :)
ohhhh emmm geeee! i don’t know which i love more. but mathias kiss is amazeballs.
the mirror, the mirror.
and not just because it’s maker is french!
I love the choices!!! I would go for the mirror installation because it has dimension and elegance in an unexpected way.
yes, those mirrors are spectacular, aren’t they! i wouldn’t be able to decide… that’s why there are so many choices ; )
