studio spaces: in the make.

i don’t know if you’ve ever checked out the blog In The Make before, but i’m a big fan. i love peeking into artist’s studios! they’ve got a brand new website — they’ve been working to create a site that perfectly suits their needs — In addition to it looking way hotter, they’ve added a Happenings page to share local art events and Field Notes that chronicle their experiences and observations as In The Make visits artists studios.

Another big change is that all In The Make studio visits now have comment forums and they hope you will join in the discussions as In The Make continues to bring you new studio visits with a West Coast artist each and every week.

and some other nice news: the new in the make site is hosted by The Present Group, a unique Bay Area organization that puts 25% of hosting proceeds back into the community through artist grants.

It always inspires me to see where artists’ workspaces. That wire type thing is pretty amazing.

These images give me the worst case of studio envy. I’ve looked at in the make before, but not in a long while. I’ll have to check out the site makeover.
