an artist’s manhattan atelier.

the october issue of lonny magazine is online and i particularly fell for the manhattan atelier apartment of painter mary nelson sinclair. i love her eclectic and colorful mix of artwork and collected treasures — she’s taken advantage of every nook, creating interesting vignettes to draw your attention, but nothing looks fussy. the space doubles as her atelier, with her canvases and scraps of inspiration displayed beautifully around the apartment. have a look at this month’s lonny for the whole tour, as well as a whole slew of other inspiring decor ideas.

What I love about this apartment is the ‘realness’ of it. It appears to be filled with collectibles from a life well-traveled. You can’t fact that.
absolutely gorgeous apartment. i’m in love!
thanks for my daily eye candy :)
Oh my goodness what a perfect space. Would live there in a second.

I love the open shelves in the kitchen! <3
I do like seeing an artist’s space. I’m actually impressed by the tall book stack.
Such a perfect balance of elegant and artistic – I adore it!
I love active sunny spaces like this that look so full of creativity. I love them all.
