if you’ve been following the blog here for a while, you probably know by now that i’m a big fan of eyeglasses. that quote from writer dorothy parker, “men seldom make passes at girls who wear glasses”? i don’t believe it for one minute. i think glasses look charming on women, and men as well — nerd style is right up my alley. so, i was pretty stoked when lookmatic asked me if i’d like to do a reader giveaway for a pair of their prescription eyeglasses or sunglasses.

wow! these are so cool. i adore them. if i had to pick a favorite, it’d be the marilyn. i am just starting to see a need for prescription sunglasses! the sun in the midwest mornings is blinding me on my commute to work! those babies would come in handy!

I just got Tippi in TORTOISE/LIGHT BLUE and I LOVE THEM…I am constantly getting compliments from friends and strangers! They fit perfectly out of the box, too.

I love lookmatic, I already have Shelby, which I adore!! However, the bel air in citrus is on my DESIRED list :)
Its a hard bargain between the FDR and the Bel Aire for me! Love them all really.
I’d really like the Kingfords in Silver, as RX sunglasses- because Aviators are no fun unless they’re tinted, and I need the RX…

All of their frames are great, but my favorite would be the RX tinted tortoise Marlowe frames! I’m a lifelong glasses wearer and nerd, so I love the idea of RX sunnies and the fact that they have a literary name!

Tippi in Tortiseshell/Blue for sure! Classic on the outside, with a playful modern twist on the inner that’s like your own little secret (& as a a bonus one of my favourite colours).

Like everyone has said, it’s so hard to choose, but I’d love a pair of the “Woody” glasses. It’s a fun and classic unisex option, and since my boyfriend and I wear the same prescription, we could share!

I should wear prescription glasses but don’t because the ones I bought over six years ago are so weirdly flashy frameless ones that feel really dated and I made the double mistake of picking weird frames and getting transition lenses. They tint at any sign of light and I look like a weird Diane Keaton wannabe. Needless to say, I need new, fresh lenses.

Ack! I’d not heard of lookmatic before, but they friggin’ ROCK! Lovely glasses. Right up my alley. I’d do the Reeve. Or the Hobbs. Or the Reeve. Or the Hobbs. I think the Reeve. Yeah. The Reeve.
I love abazillion of the styles here, I like any of the two tones like the Jesse, I like the Maxine and the Apprentice (who doesn’t love that name?), and the Peyton are great as well!
Well I already love my bright red glasses from lookmatic. They have become part of my signature style!! I have been eyeballing the blue Maxine’s. I think the blue clear color is just amazing!! I also love the kitty for sunglasses- too much fun! Thanks and fingers crossed I get to wear one of these soon.
