I LOVE Holly Becker’s voice on her Decor8 blog, so it would be great to own her first book and be inspired for redecorating my flat over the holidays. The Christmas + New Year period is also the one time of year when I settle down with a stack of new books from my wish list to chill before the business of January.
All of these books look amazing, but Tartine is my favorite bakery, and me and my sister are obsessed with holiday baking and giving baked goods as gifts, so it would make such a fun addition to our arsenal of recipes!

Oh gosh, the Tartine book for sure! And I completely agree: I just did a bunch of Christmas shopping today — all books! They are absolutely the ideal gift.
Are you kidding me with this decision? This is a grrreat selection. Yes, I LOVE to bake, so the Tartine box set is incredible. I’m obsessed with interior design and can flip through books like Decorate for years and find new ideas to inspire. But, I’m nothing short of a freak show for paint chips, so I’m going to have to go with Pantone. I’ve even cobbled together poetry from paint names found on samples. The Home Depot people see me coming and know I’m going to wipe them out of their samples. Fingers crossed!
The History of Surfing for sure! I grew up on the ocean and have been landlocked for the last 15 years. Somedays I just throw on a surfing video just to get my ocean fix!

Though I could lose days getting lost in any of these books, the history of surfing looks to be the most intriguing. Growing up in CA, I’ve never been on a surfboard but I’m fascinated and mystified by the sport.
Really hard to choose one book… But I say Tartine because first I love to cook, second it will be beautiful on my bookshelves with my others cookbooks and third because it will be my first American cookbook! Thank you for this great giveway :-)

Stylists – The New Fashion Visionaries would be my pick. It used to be that no one knew about the stylists. We thought celebrities picked their own clothes and fashion editors picked the clothes for photo shoots and put it all together. Now the stylists are becoming known as the artists they are. I love Lori Goldstein! The Glamourai did a feature on Lori’s apt. a year or so ago and it was divine…. not necessarily my style but fascinating. I’ve been buying some of her clothes from QVC and I always get positive comments about them. I really should get a commission for all the customers I’ve sent their way for Lori’s t-shirts.

This is such a wonderful giveaway! My favorite book in this selection would have to be the Pantone book. It totally sucks that you’re limiting the giveaway to North America, though. I’m a military spouse that just moved to Guam because of our commitment to my husbands 17 (so far) years of service to this country, which is part of the US and USPS ships here for normal domestic rates, but sooooo many people/shops treat us like we don’t exist because we’re not ‘contiguous’.

I have to choose the “History of Surfing” if only on principal. I grew up on the windward side of Oahu and never surfed in my life. Maybe I could begin by reading about the history first. Thank you for this generous give away special.

It’s about home – where some of my ancestors lived in Greece, where I recently savored bread pudding with seasonal fruit (cranberry and apple) at Tartine, where I’d like to move from one place to another via surfboard. It’s where my heart can be found.
Love the Tartine, but have to say my hero, James Beard would be my favorite from this wonderful selection!

I was craving for some bread and just checked out the Tartine Bread book from the library yesterday! I would LOVE to have the Tartine book so I can make some fresh breads at home for the holiday!
I am in love with my Kindle for fiction books, but real books like these to flip through will never be replaced in my heart!

Got excited and let off my favorite book: Tartine!
My vote goes to Tartine. I live two blocks away from the bakery, and my guilty pleasure is stopping by at 5pm to pick up a country loaf. The book isn’t a cookbook per se (there are only a handful of recipes), but a masterful take on the perfect loaf.
Wow, I have been coveting that Tartine cookbook for months now! And I couldn’t agree more with your synopsis of one’s love affair with books. I wouldn’t trade my tiny, proud collection for the world!
Hello Victoria! As an Interior Design student, I´d been taught that color should follow the function of a place. Beyond what they say in school, I believe that color can make a big turn in every environment and can make a person´s mood change immediately. For this reason, the PANTONE inspirational color palettes book is my favorite and I would love to have it and give it a great use. Thank you!

Wow, that is one long list of commenters; it’s great to see so many book lovers! I worked at Tartine bakery when they first opened their San Francisco location and I was still in college. Now I’m back in school getting an MFA in Creative Writing, and am sadly not in SF (for now). Whenever I’m back in town for a visit I like to stop by Tartine for a croissant that is, as one (French) customer once put it, “the best in the world.” I’m sure I’ll never quite capture the Tartine magic at home, but I’d sure like to try!

From that amazing stack I’d have to single out the Tartine boxed set. I love everything about Tartine but with two little ones it’s rare that I have an afternoon to myself or even better, with my hubby, to go there. But I can always make time to make bread at home! Side note they’re also just a few blocks from my favorite yarn shop.
The Decorate book is a close second.

I’ve had my eye on the Decorate book for a while now.
It is most definitely the smell of books! The world would be a very sad place without that smell.
