i could live here: a photographer’s minimalist home in italy.

hello, si from the french by design blog here for a new “i could live here” tour. today, we’re heading to mantoue, italy to visit a photographer’s sublime home.

federica bottoli and her companion vittorio share the same passions: architecture and the love of design and art. their mantoue, italy, home, is minimalist, simple and authentic, a perfect haven for this family of four. from mies van der rohe, jean prouvé, or thonet — timeless pieces to flea market finds, federica used her background in fashion and love for iconic pieces to give this home a unique personality.

WOWZA – I could live there too. Loving the graphic mix of modern and natural elements.
Gorgeous–especially those ceilings! The image of the child with pacifier and remote is a bit chilling… Seems almost like the sort of photograph you’d see hanging as commentary?
i WOULD love to live there!!

Agreed, the child with remote and pacifier is unsettling.
