good reads: living etc.

the March 2013 issue of Living Etc. is out and it’s a bit like a pale pink valentine to all of us. i love this elegant and eclectic vintage-modern inspired home in brooklyn, owned by interiors stylist and antiques buyer hilary robertson and her husband alastair mc cowan, chief executive at chesney’s. their home is filled with flea market finds and unexpected treasures, and though it’s pink, it’s completely unfussy and not overly feminine. for the full, beautiful tour of their home check out this issue of living etc. — you can find it online at zinio, too.

A beautiful home! I am obsessing over that light pink Chesterfield sofa! All that tufting and those curved arms are amazing! I also adore the hanging bird cage light fixture hanging over the bed. It’s so fun and whimsical.
That bedroom… wow…
Oh, beautiful windows.
wonderful take on the dowager pink/grey look.
had to follow up: ok, boho dowager?
Oh my goodness. How could you not want to move in immediately?
Wow, gorgeous home. Love the bedroom.
omg I have to see this issue in person.
Love it all
Amy
okay, what are those awesome numbers on the wall? Is it one continuous art form or different industrial numbers? LOVE THEM
it looks like some kind of measuring stick – from a swimming pool, or maybe to measure snow? i’m not sure!
Pink sofa and bird cages, swoon!
