i could live here : an old oil mill becomes a stunning summer residence.

ok, technically, i wouldn’t really live here because it’s a summer home. but let’s pretend for a second, because this home is just divine. pack your bags, we’re boarding for salento, italy to visit the summer retreat of a famous product designer duo.

welcome to the palomba summer residence, where ludovica and roberto palomba, the acclaimed italian designers duo, come to unplug from their busy life in milan. located in salento, the high heel in italy’s boot, the house, a former 17th century oil mill, is filled with furniture designed by the palomba couple or commissioned from local craftsmen. ludovica and roberto rejuvenated this home while retaining its raw spirit, thanks to the ancient stone floors, uneven walls and original building arches. i could definitely take a [very] long sabbatical here, couldn’t you?
