domino sneak peek.
the latest issue of domino magazine doesn’t hit stands until March 4th, but they’ve offered me up a wee sneak peek to share with you. this issue of domino is all about color, but used sparingly in white rooms — just my style! their cover girl this month is Anne Ziegler, an entrepreneur and trend consultant, who works with brands like Tory Burch, ann taylor and Express. I can completely abide by Anne’s decorating philosophy: “The style of the house hasn’t been planned. It’s a spontaneous accumulation of things I’ve gathered for years. I believe that when you consistently buy things that speak to you, they work together. Style should evolve, You have to be open to change.” You know how I like to change things up, so I couldn’t agree more.
Domino editor in chief, Michelle Adams wanted this issue to focus on how style people and designers are using color now — pared-down, scandinavian-influenced interiors, often complete with white walls. She says, “Anne Ziegler’s serene, whitewashed bungalow perfectly represents the pared down scandinavian style we are seeing everywhere right now. Her walls are white but the rooms are enlivened by splashy botanical prints and pops of neon. She uses color to make her home feel more approachable, inviting, and of the moment.” i’m really looking forward to this issue — sounds right up my alley. oh, and if you register with domino you’ll start getting domino deals, a fan favorite they’re bringing back.
