real art for a fictitious world.
oh, sandy. so, so sweet… even when you’re bad! i have a feeling that sandy (the leading lady from 1978’s grease, of course!) is so polite that she’d be happy with anything that i pick for her, but i’m absolutely sure that she’ll love these:
summer lovin’ indeed! these collages are the work of french architect alexandre ciancio. perfect era, perfect colors, and just the right amount of love in the sun! now, i mentioned that sandy is super sweet, right? well then, we’re going to need a few of these:
ridiculously amazing ceramic (ceramic!!!) ice cream cones by uk based artist anna barlow. they are literally dripping with sweetness, much like sandy herself! but, every little girl eventually grows up… some much more quickly than others:
bam! and just like that, i have a new client to buy for!
from cherries n’ sugar cones to red lips n’ cigarettes, in one easy step! i love both of these sexy pieces for the “new” sandy, so so so much. the first piece is by brooklyn based artist/illustrator bernadette pascua, and the second piece is apparently by a.smith marcus (but i can’t find any more information, so if you know, please let me know because i love this!) … ok, what do you think, sandy(s)?
yay! both sandys are happy, and so my job is done. see you soon with more real art for a fictitious world ~ danielle (aka the jealous curator)
