california dreaming.

California has me constantly amazed by how much the landscape varies – from coastal cliffs to redwood forests to urban cityscapes to rolling hills to parched desert lands – and how beautiful all of it is under the Pacific light. Tara Pearce‘s newest road trip photos capture this dreaminess that cannot be put into words.

Tara shared, “Inspired by a childhood dream of a family road trip through California listening to a mixed ‘best of 80’s’ tape, no itinerary, slabs of Dr Pepper, and sing-a-longs to Livin’ on a Prayer, when I saw I had a 10 day gap in my dairy, I couldn’t book the flights fast enough.” Seeing Tara’s family’s adventures through her lens is quite a treat, including stops in Vegas, Venise Beach, Calexico, Palm Springs, Slab City, Salton Sea + Del Mar, and her favorite, Joshua Tree National Park, to name a few.

You can view all of her adventures on her blog, SLICE,OF,PEARCE, on her gorgeous Instagram feed, or purchase these lovely limited edition prints from her new online shop.

Born and raised in Santa Monica and Palisades many moons ago, then nomad hippie years in Santa Cruz and have been in beautiful Oregon for 18 years. These lovely photos bring back a lot of memories-lived at the beach. Yearning for a CA road trip and a warmer sea.
