what katie ate.

i must be hungry. or having cravings for something delicious. because today i also want to share with you a food blog i just now discovered. you may already know about it because what katie ate is quite popular (it was dubbed one of the best food blogs in the world by GOOP). i fell in love with renowned food photographer Katie Quinn Davies’ ‘foodie photograph site’ because the images are gorgeous — these photos in particular from a journey she took a while back to the amalfi coast, capri, ravello, positano and beyond. i love italy and it’s without a doubt my favorite place to travel, so these pics got me itching to plan another trip there. at the very end of her delectable post she’s got some wonderful travel accommodation recommendations, too. these images are stunning, right? and she also has a lovely cookbook out — What Katie Ate: Recipes and Other Bits and Pieces — katie’s cookbook shares her favorite simple dishes with not surprisingly, a dazzling collection beautiful images. just like these.

Oh I have been following her for a quite time now, her photography is just amazing. Unfortunately she doesn’t update her blog anymore on a regularly base. So I also just go back sometimes and look at this beautiful travel photography. :)

Italy is definitely one of the easiest places to travel. Always rented a car, only booked rooms for half the trip and the rest was on the fly. Tried to avoid the tourist places..with so many places to go. Orvieto, Naples. Genoa, Bologna…Recco..Santa Marguerita Ligure…
