i’ve got a big crush on mid-century modern wicker. and while day dreaming about what my new home will look like, i spy quite a few vintage rattan chairs there in my imagination. vintage modern wicker just seems to fit the L.A. vibe so well. the sad thing here is that i already owned a few of these vintage chairs made from rattan, but sold them to friends quite a few years back. but, at least i know they are well-loved, and i always enjoy a new hunt for old stuff.

That fleur de lis one is crazy! These are soooo gorgeous – really elevates regular old wicker porch furniture!

That french modernist chair is incredible! I love the traditional texture of wicker on slick, mid-century pieces.

We had one like ethanollie’s and the last photo from maven collective when I was growing up. It also came with a white vinyl slipcover that stretched over the chair very snugly. I wish I had it today.

Oh my! I’ve fallen in love with wicker of late and recently thrifted a rattan side table at the flea. And I am awaiting delivery of a wicker sideboard that my mother-in-law is gifting us. I will now be on the lookout for some armchairs!
I have one of those featured in the first photo (Haarlem shop). It was in my room when I was little and last year I asked my parents if I could have it for our living room.
