around L.A. / arroyo general.
Arroyo General is one of many new faces in the recent Highland Park renaissance and offers the community a lovely curated selection of handmade ceramics, paper goods and fresh local produce. It’s quickly become my go-to shop for gifts for the people I really like. Last November, founder Max of Morning Glory Confections, approached a few creative friends (Linda+Kagan of Knot Work LA, and Elizabeth+Adam behind Pop Produce), with the proposition of transforming the former artist studio into the York Blvd staple that it is today.
In the work that they produce, the products they offer and the clientele they attract, it’s obvious that the general mission of Arroyo’s team is community and togetherness. They are passionate not only about the products that they carry but the makers that create them. Their pop produce stand and recently added CSF (community supported fishery), attracts costumers that they see on a weekly basis. You’ll want to follow Arroyo General on Instagram to be the first to know about new artists, unique fruits and fresh hot deliveries from Clark Street Bread.
