meet mapamundi kids.
meet mapamundi kids — an adorable independent kids lifestyle store based in San Francisco’s noe valley neighborhood. mapamundi just celebrated their brick & mortar shop’s first birthday and for those of us not in the city by the bay, they’ve just launched the grand opening of their online shop. mapamundi is run by wife and husband Lorena Siminovich and Esteban Kerner — designers, makers, shopkeepers, neighbors, citizens of the world and most importantly parents. the couple brings many years of experience working inside the children’s clothing and toy industries and their discerning eye is what makes mapamundi so special. lorena has been designing products for petit collage for years — her collection of handcrafted children’s wares and she’s also has written and illustrated over 30 children’s books.
mapamundi roams the world to put together a curated collection of design-driven products — a distinctive assortment of toys, clothing, books & homewares. At mapamundi, they believe in learning through discovery and play, and they believe in story telling so they aspire to evoke a sense of wonder through their products to let children be children and encourage them to express their individuality.
mapamundi is committed to ensuring the products they offer are built around the concepts of high quality, design, integrity and functionality and strives to source organic, sustainable, fair trade goods whenever possible while seeking to carry a range of items that are accessible to every family. they also provide personal customer service and make sure that they’re always available to answer questions, offer advice and that orders are shipped quickly. for a personal look at mapamundi you can also follow them on instagram.
