a home of hidden treasures.

it’s hard to imagine now, but this beautiful home featured on VT Wonen had once housed an accounting firm — but hidden beneath its rough surface was a treasure trove of the home’s original features. when the new owners went to investigate, they discovered a beautiful parquet wood floor buried under layers of old linoleum, and all glass doors that had been paneled over. and in the bedroom, from behind a sloping wall they uncovered a gorgeous marble fireplace. and last but not least — they also uncovered those coveted brick walls — in other words, a home that they got for a steal, was actually a gold mine. a home with the kind of features one always dreams of having and would certainly never consider covering up. for the full tour have a look at VT Wonen .

  1. Those floors are beyond amazing. What, WHAT was somebody thinking when they put linoleum on them? I doubt it was historic preservation. Sigh.
