renegade san francisco.
yay! this weekend is the 3rd Annual Renegade Craft Fair in San Francisco on July 31 + August 1, from 11am – 7pm each day at the Fort Mason Center Festival Pavilion! and, it’s free to get in and browse around, shop and visit with all your favorite diy designers! last year’s renegade was packed, but in that great energy, exciting and inspiring kind of way! renegade is definitely one of my favorite diy and art events of the year, so don’t miss it if you’re in the bay area.

in attendance will be artists and crafters like ciuccio; lisa congdon and sara paloma — all with online shops, too, in case you can’t make it to renegade san francisco!
there will be new work from eric rewitzer and annie galvin from 3 fish studios.

new textiles from inklore; and a free photo booth to use from magnolia photo booth; and a new print from old tom foolery.
guest post: good measure.
today, sam from the lovely good measure (aka inklore) is taking us on a shopping trip in santa cruz today!

A few months ago I was in downtown Santa Cruz, getting ready to head home after visiting a few favorite spots, when I turned down a different street and unexpectedly found a gem of a shop. Stripe recently celebrated its first birthday, and it is absolutely my new favorite shop.

A fantastic store front display first lured me in, but every square inch of the space is full of unique items, artfully displayed, making it impossible to simply stop in for just a moment. This shop makes me want to linger in every nook. It is a masterful combination of mid-century modern furniture finds, vintage ceramics and handbags mixed with the best of today’s small designer labels.

Visiting Stripe is like reading your favorite design blogs in person, and finding something new each time you visit.

All About Inklore.
Sam, the talented designer behind the online shop Inklore, sent me an email about her brand new designs, Branch, Quatrefoil, and Loop, which Sam has printed by hand blockprinted in yellow ochre and charcoal on beautiful cream linen. The Inklore line includes pillows, kitchen linens, a tea cosie, and a cute fabric bucket — great for storing away knitting or craft projects.
Sam has always loved making things and enjoy sewing, knitting, and gardening. Along the way she discovered a real passion for block printing and loves to put her Inklore designs on practical, yet stylish and beautiful items for you.
