flickr faves.
i think the rain affected my moon, because when i looked at my flickr favs, the set was definitely a bit on the moody-blue side. but i like them nonetheless – kind of graphic, and vintage looking, with a bit of dark humor in there, too. at least that’s what i find when looking at these images at a complete set. if you’d ever like to curate a set of your flickr faves for me, be sure and drop me a line – i love a fresh eye!

here’s what tif has to say about her flickr favorites: “my ‘flickr lovelies’ are probably just the tip of a huge iceberg of crafty, vintage, colorful goodness out there in flickr land. when i stumble upon an image that encompasses all of the above, beautiful photographed and usually amongst a backdrop of white, it stirs the ‘creative soul’ within me. thus i am encouraged to continue down the crafty, vintage path i have chosen to take and positively, without a doubt, my day has been brightened.”

flickr favorites.
well, spring tried very much to ’sprung’ this saturday, but then the rain came in and washed it all away again. oh, wait — that was a spider, right? oh well, nonetheless, spring has not sprung, so i went in search of my very own, via good old flickr favorites. never fails to cheer me up! i love all the bright bits of yellow and turquoise, and happy, vibrant patterns i discovered. i hope you like ‘em too. spring? are you listening?

flickr curator: souvenirs du passé.
today’s flickr curator has a keen eye for finding beautiful images, and shooting some of her own. i love jewelry designer Isis Sturtewagen, aka souvenirs du passé’s photography, and her beautiful taste inspires me all the time, so i invited her to share some her flickr favorites. if you’d like a glimpse of isis’ lovely home, it was featured here recently, and you can find her line of feminine and nostalgic jewelry and homewares in her etsy shop Paper Flower Girl.
here’s how isis describes her flickr favorites: “When I favorite photos I do so without really thinking about why. I just like them. looking back at them later, I see dreams, nostalgia, sadness, pain, softness and a combination of all those things all over my screen. I never really considered myself to, but apparently I’m a ‘bit’ of a romantic escapist.”

this monday morning inspiration comes from flickr curator, yvette inufio. yvette has a wonderful eye, which you can see by her own photographs, which she sells in her etsy shop, yvette inufio photography. i can’t tell you how many times her own images are included in other flickr curated sets, including my own. yvette’s work is stunning, soft and quite magical. follow more from yvette on her beautiful blog, morning light in my room. thanks for sharing this lovely collection of your favorite images, yvette.
