here’s chris brown’s [talking pictures]: “Taking photographs for me has always been about capturing a moment in my life. I don’t know lens, settings or lighting techniques. Everything has to be low-fi for me, which makes the camera on my iphone a perfect alternative to a high end digital model. It’s about the vibe of the image and the story within it.

This photo was taken while introducing my two young daughters to skateboarding. I grew up skating and surfing, so having the joy of them asking to learn both sports was a great day. I have several shots from that first session but instead of traditional shots of us holding our longboards, I felt our shadows on that hot summer pavement made a stronger impact. Small posters of the girls shots now hang in their rooms next to their boards. Peace & Love, C.”
