our across the pond collaboration continues with the word ‘simplicity’. springtime is arriving in both london and san francisco, so have a great long weekend, everyone! i’m off to palm springs tomorrow and will be off for the holiday on monday, but see you back here on tuesday!

‘cafe’

something new for fridays. photographer alysia cotter and i thought it would be fun to collaborate and create a travelogue journal of sorts, documenting her adventures over in london, and mine here in san francisco.

we’re calling it across the pond, and each week we’ll choose a word and go out in our respective neighborhoods and shoot a photo we feel represents that word to share on our tumbler page, across the pond. we’ve been inspired by so many photographers doing these kind of collaborations – most significantly by the insane creativity of 3191, as well as two for the road. we hope you’ll find it fun!

there’s a fantastic home tour of alysia cotter’s silverlake, los angeles home on Apartment Therapy Los Angeles that just must be seen! be sure to go check it out. I love it!!! It’s like a mini museum with tons of vignettes of charming nooks and crannies, and lots of lovely bright light. well done alysia! and, you can see more of alysia’s photography on her flickr photostream, and her blog.
