i’m trying to get back to basics, to purge unnecessary items i have piling up over here before i move to the new place. i just don’t need this stuff, you know? these images of natural elements and neutral decor inspire me to be ruthless while cleaning out closets and drawers packing for the new place. if it doesn’t have a reason for being, or can’t be re-purposed into something useful right now, away it goes. into the garage sale pile. oh yeah, if you didn’t hear, we’re having yet another yard sale this saturday – part deux, the finale!

i think i have a brand new favorite place to shop online. since the brook farm general store is located in brooklyn, new york, i’m pleased as punch that we can shop their inventory of simple and yet uniquely special homewares online. i just love a good general store!

i love how elegantly casual their accessories and homewares are. you know, in that, “oh, this old thing?” stylishly cool, European basics way. i want a lot of what they carry, and well, have bookmarked a few favorites already. here’s just some of what i’m thinking the new pad probably needs from the brook farm general store.
