oh, let’s count the ways i had fun with this numerical fab friday. haha — aren’t i the clever one? i’m rounding up some numbers today and dreaming up some new uses for them, so i hope i’ve got yours. i’m just full of puns today…surely, i’m full of something.

west elm’s spring line is on its way and should be in stores January or early February, and i do believe they are channeling the road to morocco. these look like magic carpets you could drift away on, daydreaming yourself off to an exotic port of call. west elm’s new ethnic inspired rugs range in styles from a classic Moroccan Berber Rugs to the Patchwork Cadiz Rug in India Ink. the Aquamarine collection is inspired by the ever changing colors of the sea. ahhh, take me away…

UPDATE: The bulk of the new 2012 spring collection will be available in early January. The Morocco collection is being phased in later on in the season and will be in stores and online in mid-to-late February.

around this time of year when i was a kid, the leaves on my favorite climbing tree would start to turn bright yellow. yellow on white feels just right when the bright california sun is hanging low and the air is getting cooler. paired with these geometric patterns, faded reds and blues, and spots of black, this modern day-dream is all about that last drop of warm sunshine!

i think i must be fighting off the ever approaching winter with all i’ve got these days. i painted the living room bright white this week (more on that to come) and am decorating with brighter colors to contrast all that snowy white. so today, i spy sunshine. lots of white with some snappy pops of orange, yellow and more!

there’s nothing quite like the soothing shades of lavender and plum. they instantly take me to some moroccan hideaway, the smell of incense floating distantly in the air, big fluffy poufs, and utter relaxation.

well, yesterday was an utter blogger wasteland. the blog crashed when we moved it to a new server, so my apologies for the dreaded downtime! i felt like i needed to go to my happy place this fab friday (and it is quite fab, since we’re back up and blogging!), so wham! here’s some color. lately, i feel like i’m reverting back to pre-school — all i crave is bright, cheerful romper room colors, like this fantastic home, via the design files (and pinned by designlovefest).

poketo’s merit badge necklace makes we want to earn one; urban outfitters’ mushroom menagerie pillow is adorable; one very sweet small talk studio notebook, from domestica; this plywood ring from somethings hiding here kind of amazes me; and ooooh lookie — a large format alyson fox print, new from little paper planes.
