spot the difference?
[ guest post: Tea for Joy. ]
When I recently wrote about this house on my blog, Tea for Joy, I had to restrain myself from posting photos of almost every room (there are over 30 photos online – which include the most desirable garden house I’ve ever seen.) This house belongs to British photographer Paul Massey, whose home was recently featured as this Living Etc. home tour.

This all-white space is also available to hire as a location, and I thought it was interesting to see the small differences (above & just below) between the styled magazine shots and the more minimal portfolio images.

dine-one-one.

i’m in that crazy, mad mode again where i am bored to tears with my current decor. i even went looking for new apartments all weekend just to drastically change things up. alas, there’s still not a whole lot out there in the housing market here in san francisco, so i may have to succumb to my old tricks, and yes, re-decorate yet again. and, i needed some inspiration!

i’ve been waiting some kind of white, sort of brit pop theme going on, so starting with the dining area, I would love to paint my antique (family heirloom) dining room table white, if i didn’t think mummy would drive straight up from los angeles and put me in some kind of strangle hold. but she may just have to. because, dear readers, i am bored!! i’ve got the knoll saarinen knock off chairs – i just need a new look for the table. i looked around living etc. magazine’s gallery to try and find some inspiration, and there was plenty. here’s a look-see from living etc. magazine. now, if i could just get those white floors, too!

living with white.

i love the Uk’s very fabulous Living etc. magazine. it’s always fresh and has very inventive and eclectic brit-pop styling ideas i never would have thought of without a little help from the glossy pages of their beautiful magazine, or helpful, handy online galleries. i am feeling the itch to redecorate (yes, yet again) and went searching for some ideas based on a background embracing a white palette (you know, my very favorite) with bright pops of color here and there. i found lots of inspiration in the pages, and oodles of pages, of living etc.’s online galleries. here’s a peek at living etc.!
