on location with lisa wiseman.
a couple of weeks ago flickr friend and photographer leah Reich (aka Leah | salome_st_john) asked me if i might be interested in loaning out my place to photographer lisa wiseman for a photo shoot. i took one look at lisa’s beautiful work and said ’sure!’. the girls spent the day in my apartment shooting away and lisa took some amazing shots of leah, and my place. here’s a little peek at what they were up to. for more of lisa’s photography portfolio, check out her website, and follow her on her blog. and be sure to check out leah’s flickr amazing photostream, and blog, oh hey great!, too!

Just Down a South London Road.
i’m feeling a bit under the weather with a nasty head cold, which has gotten me drinking loads of tea, which in turn got me thinking about england. so i checked in for a visit at one of my favorite photo shoot location sites, beach studios, in the U.K. to see what i knew would be some pretty spots to cheer me up.
i discovered this location, marmora road, and oh what a lovely spot it would be to curl up with warm bit of tea under a cozy comforter, light a fire and read a good book. i love the mix of all that crisp white, colorful fabrics, along with the traditional antiques and vintage-modern pieces. superb! have a look at a very pretty south london home with loads of inspiration, marmora road. i vow to you now, one day i will have those bloody wonderful white wood floors! you’ll see!

a walk down stansfield road.
as an art buyer for many years in the advertising industry, part of my job was working with location scout to find the perfect spot for photo shoots. i found this beauty via U.K. based beach studios, called ’stansfield road’. just gorgeous, isn’t it? and so calming. i could see shooting an anthropologie catalog or doing a dreamy photo shoot of someone like kate winslet here. something very fresh and modern-day sense and sensibility about it. heck, i could just move in — forget the shoots!

peaceful retreat.
i discovered these beautiful images of an early Victorian house in new cross, london that is used primarily for a photo shoot location. i know it’s quite stark, but beautifully so, don’t you think? i might add a few personal touches, fabrics, books and artwork, but wow, wouldn’t this home be a peaceful retreat? and, a quite wonderful place to capture some great photographs!
