launching today, it’s modernism week in palm springs, california. my very good friend casey has been remodeling a home there, so i’m headed down tomorrow to visit, celebrate and take in some great mid-century modern design. palm springs, the kitschy social enclave of the likes of sinatra’s rat pack, bob hope and the very wealthy and extremely tanned, it’s also rich with classic mid-century modern architecture.

admist some date shakes, and besides basking in some warm desert weather, i plan to visit the ace, perhaps the parker, tour around town with my camera, and hopefully take in some fantastical modern home tours and events. so, i thought i’d share some of the swell stuff i’ve been dreaming of in anticipation for the trip. i’ll be blogging through wednesday from palm springs, so stayed tuned in.
