friends & neighbors: sketch of a season.

i am not even quite sure how i ended up on this beautiful photographic blog, sketch of a season. i was clicking around on a site i’ll be sharing with you thursday (pssst, top secret) and ended up here. and fell in love with some of these very eclectic and diverse images, all Photographed and Styled by the very talented EMILIE SMITH, of Melbourne, Australia. here’s a look at some of emilie’s extraordinary eye candy. i think we’ll be hearing much, much more from emilie and her sketch of a season. be sure and go visit her shop, too.

The stellar designers stay in our minds. The names, the signature style, the “it” look. I have had many designer crushes. These days though, after almost three years with Desire to Inspire, I have come to truly admire, to look up to and seek inspiration from my new main squeezes. I’m batting for the other team … the photographers. Edmund Sumner grew up with architects and designers. Edmund Sumner is a photographer, an extraordinary one. There is so much to devour on his website but I have decided to share just one home he has captured through his lens. It’s an artist’s residence in Japan. Simple perfection and simply perfect photos. Enjoy.

wanted: san francisco product photographer.

i emailed with Lynn Goldfinger of the Paris Hotel Boutique today, and lynn’s on the hunt for a local san francisco permanent, yet part-time product photographer. she could use a bit of assistance from a local shooter that can emulate her current style of lighting/staging and shooting of her vintage Parisian product line (like these shots you see here) and has some photoshop skills as well. Lynn estimates it would be about probably 60-70 items a month, with about 3-5 shots per photo. so anyone looking for that type of gig, should contact lynn through her Paris Hotel Boutique website. sounds like fun!
