hello again sfgirlbybay readers! it’s nicolle here from sacred lotus photography and I have some wonderful eye candy for you today.
last week was ‘roid week on flickr. what is ‘roid week you ask? it’s a celebration of polaroid and instant film photography done twice a year in spring & fall. polaroid week got it’s start back in 2006 by these two ladies cate & lori. in the first year there was only 81 members in the flickr group! over the past five years the group number has grown to over 1,500 people who all share the same appreciation and love for instant film.
each year i am introduced to so many new photographers and at the end of the week i find myself filled to the brim with inspiration! i would like to say a big thank you to cate, lori, the impossible project, and all of the people who participated. you all made the week so much fun!

blissful inspiration
good morning friends! my I am running late today! I got completely lost in my topic this week. Polaroid! It is ‘roid week. one of my very favorite things. i plummeted into the ‘roid pool and couldn’t come up for air. now that i was able to pry myself away I am giddy to share.

i have thought of how I could put this into words and i simply can’t. this photographic journey i am on has changed my life in so many ways. polaroids have taken this and bumped it up even more. i love all photographs, but polaroids are my passion. they make my heart beat fast. i love everything about them: taking them, looking at them, the smell, the sound my cameras make, all of it. i say it on my blog all the time: polaroids are what my dreams look like, what my memories evolve into. I told you i loved them. actually, i am down right loony when it comes to them. i think you see why. In celebration of such an occasion I am continuing the ‘roid love on bliss today. please stop by.
