off this afternoon.

there’s a hush-hush photo shoot going on at my place today, and i’d tell you, but you know the old saying. two can keep a secret if one is dead. and i like y’all way too much for that! so, i’ll be off for the rest of the afternoon. in the meantime, i hope you enjoy the awesome reader giveaway just below. so, until tomorrow, i bid you adieu!

oh, and happy, happy friday.

have a gloriously lazy summer weekend, friends. see you on monday!

color me pretty.

happykath.

it was so bright and cheery this weekend in san francisco, it put me in the mood for color! my own house is in need of a dash of something bright, so i checked out the sfgirlbybay flickr group for some inspiration from y’all on how i might add some splashes of color here and there. fresh flowers and vintage accessories, or a piece of thrifted furniture are always an inexpensive and easy way to go, until you’re ready for a big commitment to color. here’s a peek at a few ideas.

what are you listening to?

herman miller asked me what i like to listen to while i blog. well, not herman exactly, but contributor amy feezor who writes for Herman Miller’s blog, Lifework. if you’d like to see a playlist of my favorite tunes, and what kind of music influences me, as well as a peek at my new home office, hop on over to lifework and have a “listen”. what’s your favorite music to listen to while at the computer?

i live here:sf.

a little while ago, i was invited by the lovely and talented photographer, julie michelle, to participate in her photographic story telling project i live here:sf. julie took me out to one of my favorite spots, macondray lane from armistead maupin’s famed san francisco series tales of the city, and took a series of photographs of me.

i was nervous, but julie put me at ease and we had a great time wandering around russian hill shooting pics. she then asked me to write my san francisco story. i am happy and honored to share how i came to live in san francisco, and be a part of julie’s project! so pop on over to julie’s beautiful blog i live here:sf if you’d like to read more. thanks julie!!
