i’ve still got a spring crush on yellow. it’s just so darn cheerful — it feels as though it would be difficult to get into a bad mood living in these rooms. yellow has got a bit of that mid-century modern feel, too. my mum had a lot of yellow (along with green and orange) in our house growing up. i called it ‘peas, carrots and corn’. but today, let’s mostly just look at corn.

it’s bloomin’ monday.
i couldn’t help but notice the abundance of blossoms being photographed all over flickr and just had to share them with you. i go crazy with my camera every spring too, capturing these beautiful blossoms while they last. happy monday and happy spring to you!

i’m finally back home, and it’s springtime in san francisco, one of my favorite seasons in the city. the cherry blossoms are in bloom and there’s warm sunshine on my shoulders. thank you all for your patience last week while i was out taking care of my dad, and a grateful thanks to all the lovely guest bloggers who kept you company while i was away. in honor of my homecoming, i thought i’d begin with a cheerful, upbeat look at spring. a fresh start!
