clever crochet.

this is one of the loveliest ideas i’ve seen in a long while for kitchen wall decoration or any wall for that matter. upcycled, pastel crochet baskets clustered cleverly on a wall painted the perfect palest shade of pink. the design is just so delicate and the palette so pleasing — it almost looks like i’m in an ice cream shop, picking out my favorite flavor....

ragamuf chair covers — handmade by Syrian refugee women near the border in Turkey. ragamuf hires syrian women without a livelihood to enable them to live fulfilling, independent lives. why oh why do we love fringe so much? i think it must stem from some happy childhood memory — a whimsical frilly party dress we once wore, or perhaps a pink tutu worn in dance class....
