i’ve been contributing artist interviews to Uppercase for a while now, but never met janine or her team, so i’m pretty excited to have this opportunity! and for those of you who haven’t yet picked up a copy of UPPERCASE, it’s a wonderful magazine “for the creative and curious” with inspiring stories about art, craft, design and creativity. the curiosity shoppe has been proud to stock UPPERCASE since Issue #1, (issue #6 has just hit the shelves) and dropping by tonight could be your best shot at picking up any back issues you may be pining for.

yippee! another new issue of uppercase is all ready for our reading pleasure, and visual delight! i’m excited to share with you my interview with orangette’s molly wizenberg & brandon pettit, partners in delancey, their cozy seattle restaurant, which is included in this issue of uppercase.

good news. no, great news! the new issue of uppercase magazine, issue 5, is hot off the presses! this spring issue of uppercase features a beautiful cover illustration from portland-based artist matte stephens, and is now fresh from the printer and shipping to subscribers, wholesalers and those who pre-ordered single copies. it’s not too late to order issue 5, though.

the new issue of uppercase magazine, issue four, is out and it’s as beautiful and inspiring as ever, complete with a gorgeous cover illustration by artist leigh wells. i’ve contributed a story i wrote all about those vintage vanguards of style, three potato four, so i’m extra excited to share this issue of uppercase with you. it also comes with this cute pull out calendar for you to hang on your walls! for more information on subscribing and a virtual tour of this issue, check out the uppercase site.




good reads: the uppercase winter issue.

janine and the team at uppercase have been hard at work on the design for the upcoming Winter issue of the UPPERCASE magazine and the final files will be sent to the printer by the first week of January! uppercase and i will be keeping you updated about the expected ship date to uppercase subscribers — by the way, have you subscribed? it really is one of the most well-produced design magazines i’ve seen, from everything to the lovely, uncoated paper quaility and perfect-bound bindery, to the gorgeous photography and great story content. i really am, with out a doubt, quite proud to write for, and be any part of uppercase.
