they tell me mad love is in the air this week. my cynical side says this could be a conspiracy theory put out there by the folks at hallmark or the chocolate making industry, but hey, i’ll roll with it. if nothing else, no matter what your romantic status is, valentine’s day is certainly one of the prettiest holidays of the year. pastel pinks and rosy hues, perhaps a touch of gray for a bit of bittersweet melancholy — i thought i’d round up some romantically eclectic and cozy nooks and niches to help put you in the mood.

hello ladies and gentlemen — this is a public service announcement. valentine’s day is coming up in a little less than a month’s time and whether you’re looking for something special for a loved one, or just love yourself so much you think you deserve to get yourself a gift (and we all do!), i’ve got some ideas for you. i like jewelry, but none of those heart shaped pendants for me, uh-uh. give me (hint, hint) a unique or handmade bauble any day of the week. here’s a few on my hit list:

oh yay it’s almost valentines day. my enthusiasm for this day knows no bounds. it never fails to remind me of the time my ex-boyfriend sent me roses to the office and added the note “eat these if you get hungry”. way to shine, passive-aggressive nut job and completely diss the gift (at a whopping 110 lbs., he always wanted me to diet). so yay, valentines day is coming. here’s about as enthused as i’m going to get. woop fab friday.
