i’m in the mood for more pink. it comes and goes, this attraction i have to the girliest pinks in the prettiest patterns, but i love it with black, a bit like licorice allsorts (sans that inconvenient yellow and blue) and y’all know i’ve got the black goin’ on. this week i want more pink!

1. i just can’t say enough about this blah blah blah throw from donna wilson.  2. there’s just not one thing wrong about this gorgeous eames rocker!  3. and, i’d die to wrap myself up in donna wilson’s beautiful new tree cloud blanket this winter.

4. i love this rose floral pillow cover from ada & darcy.  5 & 6. i do believe i need both these ever so lovely polaroid prints from Israel-based photographer Ella K. Sverdlov.

7. i hear all you need is love, so these plates from lou rota at not on the high street seem like a good idea to have around.  8. two eames chairs is always better than just a lonely one, so i’ll take this hot pink eames eiffel chair from modernica, as well! 9. it’s almost 2011, so yep, we all need a new calendar and this one from cats let nothing darken their roar is so rad.

this week my wants may make you feel a bit like hibernating. it’s breezy and brisk here in san francisco, and i feel a lot like hunkering down with good books, comforting comforters, and creating some restful retreats from the world. i loved building forts when i was a little, and i kinda still do. i want an escape! so, here’s a few ideas.

1. first off, i’ve been dying to build myself an indoor reading teepee, and the always crafty and talented rachel denbrow of smile and wave offers us up a tutorial to do just that! 2. i think the remix blanket has a geometric motif that fits quite well in my modern-day teepee.  3. as do these cozy throw pillows, both from ferm living.

4. would it be redundant (or even feasible) to hang one of these le beanock modern hammocks in my teepee? ‘cuz i’d sure like to!  if not, i’ll find another cozy spot inside. 5. this quirky heirloom throw from anthropologie will add a nice homemade warm and fuzzy feeling to my fort.  6. and these anthropologie driftwood hurricane lamps will give off a nice natural glow in my reading area.

7. i can’t always be in my teepee and love this canopy creation i saw on mood, and would love to make one of my own. so dreamy.  8. i think i’ll toss a warm and wooly wood throw from donna wilson into the mix, just for fun.  9. is it so wrong to keep a cowhide papa stour flask in my retreat? i think not.  10. lastly, i think it’s a brilliant idea to add a few lina rennell sheepskin throws from beklina just for good measure. like i said, this is one fine place to hunker down!

this week my wants are a cornucopia of cute. don’t ask me why, i’m just feeling feminine. so i want some girlie stuff to match my mood.  a smidgen of pink, a little bit patchwork and pattern all with smashing style. here’s what’s wanted.

1. i could totally get into the idea of having a kelly swallow patchwork chaise lounge to laze about on.  2. i’d love to hang this re-purposed and re-appropriated Hand appliqued sweetly linen from bird and bear somewhere around the homestead.  3. these swiss, handmade you and me magnets from umbu are so charming!

4. i would dearly love to have this encaustic painting from jhina alvarado’s forgotten memories series.  5. gennine Zlatkis’ cosmos pillow is so sweet and would look good on this sofa.  6. i could get happily slouchy lounging around on one of restoration hardware’s new slipcovered sofas.  7. i think i’ll toss this silk Pink Dotted Uzbek Ikat pillow from be still on the sofa as well.

8. oh, i do love the pink and brown pattern of anthropologie’s light wheel rug.  9. alyson fox has beautiful new work out.  10. and lastly, i’d love this set of vintage 1970’s pink flower shower curtain hooks from tiques etsy shop.

i’m kinda worried. i’ve only been in this new home since may, and already i’m feeling the itch to redecorate. perhaps change up the colors a bit, and get a little more comfy. not everything will change, but i think adding some of the things i want this week could do the trick without starting from scratch. let’s face it, i’ll never stop changing it up!

1. oh dear, seems i’m obsessed with kate p. i’d loved to wrap myself up in her fur coat original painting! 2. i was strictly a throroughly modern girl there for a while, but now i’m getting all slouchy again. i’m craving a nice, deep, super comfy rachel ashwell sofa like this striped one! 3. i am simply mad for these pendant lamps made from re-purposed map bits – this one’s called deep sea, from umbu.

4. abc home adds a new twist on birch bark vases — cast in antique silver over copper! 5. i love this waterfall print enhanced with wood-grain and printed on paper from jefdesigns, via design public. 6. the primitive look of this large ash wood cutting board is a unique look for serving snacks, made by a family of woodworkers, from shop terrain.

7. i quite admire and very much desire the moon craft’s fabulous hubble print. 8. i could fall into these bella notte bed linens and possibly never get out of bed. 9. and, lastly, i’m thinking this vintage luxo clamp light would add a modern touch for bedside reading, from found vintage style.

look’s like i could be headed into fall (although it’s in the high 80’s here in san francisco, so what the heck am i thinking!?). but this week on wanted, i’m feeling a little auburn orangey-red meets basic black, and i’m a bit all over the board, from birds to boxy, to bubble baths. here’s what’s wanted.

1. this is one cute gold-beaked door stopper from anthropologie (shut the door! oops — i mean keep it open). 2. and well, just how rad is this felt Asymmetrical Hexrunner from branch? (and, Homeless women at the YWCA Portland Shelter are trained and provided employment assembling each piece by hand = more rad). 3. this harry’s garden wallcovering evokes a bit of old europe, from the wallpaper collective.

4. i adore artist kiki & polly and can’t get enough of her work. i want her painting night swim huge on my wall. 5. and, i think it would look quite smashing above this gorgeous black free-standing tub from Gruppo Treesse, no? 6. and just to indulge myself a little bit more, i think i’d add a dash of anthropologie’s TokyoMilk Bon Bon Bubble Bath.

7. i’ve coveted the claude sofa from pinch for a really, really long time. so deep and cushy, it belongs in someone’s reading library. 8. mikey burton’s oh yeah go ohio! wood type print is a fun little graphic! 9. lastly, quite in love with jonathan adler’s funky bargello chamomile pillow – just the right touch of super seventies.

this week on wanted, i appear to be in the mood for a little romance! i’ve rustled up some feminine finds, and could see decorating a little guest cottage with some of these — a little fantasy world to escape to. to read, to nap, to just ‘be’ whomever you’d like to be!

1. how do i get my hot little hands on an illustration by luis dourado (via design for mankind)? so fantastic! 2. this message d’amour whimsical bedside lamp could offer up some sweet dreams. 3. love this very cozy vintage quilt from trampoline.

4. i know i’d feel warm and cozy tucked into anthropologie’s cirrus duvet and bedding. 5. and i think this elli popp petal pond + dotty wallpaper could look pretty smashing behind the bed. 6. perhaps some pretty silver roses flanking the bedside, from emily chalmers’ caravan.

7. i think i’ll create an air of privacy, with anthropologie’s swatch book curtains on the windows. 8. and i think painting the room in a subtle combination of this paint palette from martha stewart would be oh-so calm and dreamy. 9. and one last touch — urban outfitter’s midcenturies tables would look quite darling as nightstands.

this week on wanted my tastes are all over the place. but that’s just the kinda girl i am, and why i’m always redecorating. i just happen to like a diverse number of looks and the more eclectic the better. this week i’m feeling a little more tailored and modern. i think these would all work together, but hey, give me a big enough house, and i’ll make sure they do! here’s what’s wanted.

1. i cannot count the ways i would die for a camilla engman original painting on my wall. 2. and i think it would look pretty sweet hanging right above this yummy jonathan adler junior lampert tufted sofa. 3. perhaps a shimna log would serve well as a side table, as well — from burke decor.

4. i’m finally breaking down and giving in to my ‘want’ and getting this areaware orbit chandelier for my dining room. yippee – let there be light! 5. a yummy denim party pouf from ferm living is perfect for extra seating. 6. i love the idea of this gorgeous geometric remix blanket from ferm living, tossed casually over a chair or sofa.

7. i quite like this modern, tailored charcoal gray rough linen. 8. and maybe i wouldn’t mind waking up to this vintage vitjaz russian alarm clock, from clockwork universe. 9. but then again, i could see myself lounging around in bed lazily gazing at this little giant painting from joel green.

so many wants, so little time. or, should i say so little moolah in the wallet! well, all in good time, anything wanted really badly comes with a bit of patience, right? well, most of the time i can restrain myself for a while, by at least sharing my wants with you. i’m still looking to add some color (think pink!) and some fun vintage items to the pad, so here’s what’s on my hit list this week.

1. i really want this diamond jungle dhurrie rug from anthropologie. 2. i dream of owning one of smalltown’s macrame knotted egg lamps for my breakfast nook. 3. it might be for wee ones, but i think i could get away with this taj blanket from giggle.

4. well shoot. i can’t see one thing wrong with having any one of these insound 10 for 10 band posters created by sonnenzimmer. nope, not one thing. better get four!

5. this is more of an aspiration, than a want, but i still completely covet elisabeth dunker of fine little day’s book collection. swoon. 6. so, i’m pretty much height-challenged, and i’d really kinda like this distressed gray vintage step ladder from eden & eden. 7. curling up with a pile of elisabeth’s great books on this Winifred Colorblock Sofa from anthropolgie seems like a pretty nice place to be.

8. and lastly, oh yes, i think i could live quite easily with a yasmine surovec print (via booooooom) adorning one of my walls. yep. yessiree.

the list of what’s wanted this week is a long one. maybe i should just say ‘world peace’ and be done with it. of course, i do very much want world peace, and i’d also love long legs, but i’m not holding my breath, so in the meantime i’ll settle for some of these lovely items.

1. this first thing i really want is gonna come at a cost. i’ve gotta diy this one. i need to paint the inside of my armoire white and then wallpaper the heck out of it. i saw this one created by shannon fricke on decor8 and fell in love. 2. in order to do this, i think i need to pick up some of oh joy!’s new wallpaper designs for hygge & west. simply lovely! 3. and how cute would a couple of lisa stickley’s diy oil cloth garment bags look hanging inside? uh-huh, looks like i’ve got work to do!

4. i’d love alida from tush tush to join my portrait collection. i think she’d fit right in. i found her work through the jealous curator’s etsy gallery show. 5. truth is, i just had to have this print from fifi du vie, so i went ahead and ordered it. sometimes there’s just no stopping me. isn’t it so romantic? 6. i’d also really like to have this 1940’s fold-away card table from hindsvik — quite handy when the dinner party gets too big.

7. how very cute is this refinished vintage dresser from knack studios? really cute, right!? 8. this industrial looking halo chandelier from anthropologie could be just the ticket for my dining room (and affordable, too!) 9. i’ve definitely been coveting this collage cushion bench, also from anthropologie. if i win the lottery, this baby’s coming on home.

i’m starting a new weekly post: wanted. we all have wish lists. stuff we don’t necessarily need, but we definitely want. sometimes i don’t even need to actually purchase these things. i just need them to inspire me, to ignite my imagination and help me create. but sometimes, i really, really want them, and sometimes it passes, or has fueled another fire. it’s okay to want, you don’t always have to have. but here’s what’s wanted this week around the house.

1. a whole row of beautiful penguin classics; 2. a few vintage bistro chairs for my garden, from Maison Rêve; 3. this gorgeous blue coral linen wall hanging from natural history.

1. i’d love this lindsey adelman pendant lamp for my dining room, via plush palate;  2. these mongolian lamb pillow covers from west elm are cozy; 3. i love this gorgeously soft klippan retro wool blanket from huset.

1. jennifer o’keeffe’s wall of fame photographic print from the beholder is super rad (found via the jealous curator’s guest curator set!); 2. charming fog linen tablecloths – i want a checked one; 3. i quite like this retro fun 8 x10 independence collage from ironside’s etsy shop.
