a day in the desert.

lost bird found.

gosh darn fog. the sun keeps coming out here in san francisco just enough to tease us, and then it hides away again, and that misty gray comes blowing back in over the hills just about the time you want to pull out the old barbecue. i’m missing warm days, so we’re hitting the desert. i’m imaging a house with a big turquoise pool somewhere, lots of lounge chairs, and a retro mid-century modern flair. grab a mai tai, get on your spf, and let’s put on some frank on!

  1. I’m from the bay area so I totally get it. Also, I love all the pictures. Definitely the sort of vibe I’ve been trying to go for in my very non Palm Springs located DC apartment.

  2. still stuck on the fact that you said you’re missing warm days. it’s 100+ where i live. you can take some of this warmth, noooo problemo! :D

  3. Great collection of Mid century vibe photo’s.Makes me miss our Palm Springs house..It’s been so coolish in Seattle I can’t wait to return.

  4. I live in the desert, and it’s been 100+ consistently here. I would trade with you any day. Our patio is a mess and all I want to do is clean it and make it pretty, but I can’t because it’s too damn hot!!! I wish we had a pool like one of these, but even then, the pools out here get so hot that they’re just not refreshing in the least.

  5. I know…it’s a tease right? Thought Noe Valley was better, but just left there and same as up here. Yikes! Fog, go away!

Yes, escape to the desert with some Frank. Sounds great as long as there’s air conditioning! Love the photos. Just pinned one!
