good reads: covet garden.

there’s a whole slew of great shelter, decor and diy magazines popping up all over the net, as i mentioned last week, and this is another super sweet one. Covet Garden is a wonderful decor magazine from a canadian crew: writers lynda felton and rhonda riche, and art director jessica reid.

Covet Garden presently focuses on featuring one creative household at a time, and this, their second issue, covers family shelly, brendon and baby clover. the team started Covet Garden because they wanted to see a magazine that made them feel as though they were invited into someone’s home, spaces that have not been styled by interior decorators, and reflect the passions and interests of the real people who live there.

Covet Garden’s mission: “Covet Garden is for folks who are curious about real spaces. We take a peek into the homes and lives of some of the city’s most interesting people—spaces that have not been styled by interior decorators. Covet Garden is inspirational, not aspirational.” and mighty inspiration it is! bravo, ladies!

there’s fun diy projects included in Covet Garden as well, like shelly’s easy to knit jar cozy (above). to peruse the entire magazine, visit Covet Garden here, and check out back issues here.

  1. I love her little craft room. I’m working on my studio right now and after spending 5 hours last night organizing every scrap of fabric by color, I think I needed some pretty pictures of final products to know the end is near.

  2. Hello Victoria!! Oh this is so good… it is always a fresh breeze coming over here!!! This is brilliant and fresh! Those vibrant colours remind ourselves of spring in those knit jars… amazing! I wish I had a few here! Hugs, Twiggs
