help japan.

the thoughtful folks at weiden + kennedy, a worldwide advertising agency with offices in japan, have come up with a creative way to aid japan’s relief efforts. they’ve designed these posters with 100% of the profits going to the relief effort for the devastating earthquake and subsequent massive tsunami that struck Japan. i bought a few, and i’m going to hang one of the huge posters in my front window as a show of support. what do you say, will you buy one, too?

  1. Victoria, do you happen to know what the profits are on these? I’m just wondering, if I order one, how much money will actually go to the Red Cross?

(Don’t get me wrong … I really love the idea and intention. Just want to make sure that most of the money will go to the cause I want it to go to!)

  2. Thanks Victoria! What I wanted to know, though, was, do you know how much money actually goes to the relief efforts? (For example, $20? $15?)

    Thank you!

  3. thanks Victoria, I have a dear friend with a new baby living in the affected area. It means a great deal to me that you along with other agencies, including the red cross, are keeping this horrible situation ever present in our minds.

  4. I don’t want to be picky but this isn’t the color combination of the red cross – which is, as the name itself says it – a red cross on a white ground. Instead, this is the color combination of the national flag of Switzerland…

Nevertheless, nice idea and my thoughts to Japan!
