  1. Happy New Year, Victoria!
I had a quiet one but it was a lovely start to the year with a home cooked meal and freshly laundered sheets (I’m easily pleased!).

  2. Happy New Year to you, Victoria! I had a nice meal out with family, relaxed and mellow… Here’s wishing you peace, happiness, and all the best in 2012.

  3. We stayed in, and the little ones stayed up with us until two a.m.! So although we had a lovely mellow evening at home, we’re ALL going to be out of sorts today, and school starts tomorrow! I also wrote a nice post rounding up 2011 (seems like a rookie move, I’d thought I would’ve seen more of that on my favorite blogs!) which was really fun and brought back some great memories.

Happy New Year, SFGBB! Looking forward to reading in 2012!

  4. Well- chickened out and didn’t go to a Party, instead opted to lay low with the hub and watched a special on The Mayan calender which was very interesting!.. It is hard to be in full bore party mood on New Years’ when so many things happened this year. I lost my father-in-law, and I know you lost your Dad so you know the feeling ;-(.. for me its hard to ring in the new cuz you have to say goodbye in your heart. New Years is very melancholic me thinks. Coldplay were on Austin City Limits. Gosh they are a good band… Love the wedding picture and the skirt ! The best part is the crucifix on the wall!

  5. Happy new year, Victoria!

I have lived in the city for about 3 years, each year my tradition is dinner with my husband. Then today is my day where I treatself to a spa day in the city. Cheers, and I’m wishing you a very prosperous new year! Thanks for all the inspiration!

  6. I love that tassle image at the top, wowee! I want that in my studio. :) My hubby and I went to our favorite Indian restaurant for dinner, and then we had a quiet evening at home. It was so nice! Happy New Year to you!

  7. Happy New Year! Just got my new West Elm catalog and saw your “3 Questions for Victoria Smith…” feature and loved seeing bits of your home featured! So exciting! Congratulations!

  8. It was a low-key game night with close friends. I was ready to say goodbye to 2011, and that was a nice way to do it.

That begonia pencil skirt: YES! And it’s on sale!
