oh, did you see? kate spade is introducing the florence broadhurst home décor shop, an exclusive collection of home furnishings inspired by the archives of florence broadhurst — a series of graphic designs, including this black & white japanese floral to use throughout the year. if you’re not familiar with this particular florence, she’s a style icon you might like to get to know. an australian designer, you can read all about is this book, Florence Broadhurst Secret & Extraordinary Lives — it paints an unforgettable portrait of a woman ahead of her time. To this day, mystery shrouds her life as a couturier, painter, as well as her unsolved murder in 1977.

kate spade has introduced a whole line of florence-inspired homewares, porcelain dishes, clothing, and fashion accessories, and to celebrate, they’ve even launching katespadeny radio and a florence broadhurst pop-up shop tour.

  1. Wish the Bus was coming here! We live in a really creative time. I love the concept of pop-up shops and one that travels is awesome. Thanks for turning me onto this woman. I have never heard of her, but have seen her prints. I know the one on the pillow here, called Japanese floral was a big floral design on many of my favorite clothes in the 70’s. I wouldn’t doubt if she had some inspiration for Biba London back in the day..
