i have long admired the hand-painted windows at pot + pantry. the type is just so sweet! well now, in celebration of Julia Child’s 100th birthday, pot + pantry has created limited editions prints of the infamous julia child quotes gracing their pot + pantry windows.
Originally hand-painted on the windows of Pot + Pantry, these Julia Child quotes are now available as a set of two-color letterpress prints: “Always start out with a larger pot than what you think you need” and “Cooking is like love/It should be entered into with abandon or not at all” — prints are 11″ x 14″ letter pressed in Aubergine and Warm Red by The Aesthetic Union in San Francisco. Limited edition of just 50, so be sure to grab these while they last!

Those are so cute and would certainly catch my eye if I walked by. Glad to see they’ve been made into prints as well.
I’m lovin’ the quotes on the windows- such a clever idea…
I headed to pot & pantry on my trip to SF last week. I never would have, if it wasn’t for your 415 series, where you mentioned it. Picked up a few really nice bowls. – Thanks for the tip!

Ah..I’m such a sucker for fonts!
Sorry, but this quote is not form Julia Child. It’s from an article by Harriet Van Horne in a 1956 issue of Vogue. http://quoteinvestigator.com/2012/01/01/cooking-love/
Lovely!!!! But Skeptic is right, the second quote is by Harriet van Horne (1956) and not from Julia Child. You should correct it.

I love the pot and pantry font…..would it be possible to find out what it is?
i think Donna Suh, the owner did all these by hand.
