the new issue of home & delicious magazine is online and available for you to feast your eyes on. one of my favorite features in issue no. 2 is this charming icelandic fishing cabin belonging to the publishers of home & delicious. a historic building on a secluded lakefront, they have renovated the place all on their own over the last four years, and with the addition of black paint, i think they’ve really given the rustic home a touch of modern — i think it adds a great contrast to all the natural wood. have a look, but check out home & delicious for the whole wonderful tour.
good reads: home & delicious.

Lovely interior and great inspiration for a small holiday home.
I love the idea for the beds.
I love the idea of bunking beds like that for a cabin. rustic and beautiful.
I’m enamored of stark black wood cabins. What a contrast that would make with both the white snow in the winter and the green of the summer.
The organic beauty of this little cabin feels so lovely. I also like the black exterior. Black has a way of disappearing into the landscape.
Whelp, that’s my dream kitchen. Sigh. Now I know exactly what to aim for. Thanks, Victoria!
The combination of bright whites and natural wood are so dreamy.
I can’t believe there is another digital magazine full of goodness out there that I didn’t know about! What delicious pics!
I love the pendant light in the kitchen, where can you get this? Thanks
I adore the kitchen and the bathroom.
Wow – I want to go to there…
Rustic with a modern twist! It just can’t get any better!
I’m totally in love with this Icelandic cabin. The interior is how I picture my future home to be, all cosy and comfy. xx
I only saw the top of that first photo at first and thought “that looks like Icelandic light”.
Which makes sense, seeing that I am from there, and am there, blah, anyway,
what a lovely cabin by the way.
Must go check out the rest of the magazine now, thanks.
