  1. I am a sucker for FREE education and FREE books! Chronicle Books makes this one even sweeter — LOVE the photography and the surfing book. I am hoping and crossing all 11 toes. Thank you, Yvonne ;)

  2. I love all those books. Being from Hawaii (and a surfer myself) the History of Surfing is top on my wish list!!

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  3. I just moved and putting together a great collection of interesting and beautiful books for my new place is at the top of the list! The Tartine boxed set is already on my wishlist, so that would be my fave here, but they all look great!

  4. I love giving (and getting) books for the holidays! I really want to explore photography so the new photography manual is at the top of my list.

  5. most amazing giveaway (and that little logo – awesome!)! the tartine book is already on my wishlist… but i´d love to settle down with everyone of these beauties…

  6. They all look fantastic! My favorites would be the Tartine boxed set and Decorate.
Best wishes for a smooth move this week, Victoria.

  7. I used to walk to Tartine from my apt in SF, but now that I live in LA, I have to settle for thumbing through every copy of the book that I come across! I love it.

But then, The Country Cooking of Greece sounds so interesting!

  8. Great to see Decorate on there, it’s on my wishlist so that’s the one for me. Now seeing this list though – The Country Cooking of Greece and Tartine boxset are now on my wishlist :) Great Picks. My fingers are crossed.

  9. A very tough decision to make, but i def. go for DECORATE. Thanks a lot for giving this amaaaazing pressie!
    on twitter @paola_valencia_

  10. I have been eying the Tartine cookbooks for a while now. A friend of mine has them and has manged to make the most incredible breads as a result, and I’d love to give it a try as well. Thanks for the chance to win!

  11. I think books are the perfect presents too… They say so much about the giver and the receiver! Would really love to check out the Stylists one, though ALL of them would make great coffee table / kitchen shelf books!

  12. Fashion + Food + Photography + Surfing = Things I love as a growing artist. I mean, all of these books are really great, so it’s hard to choose a favorite. Uh…is all of the above an option? Hah-hah. ♥

  13. I am so inspired by this set of books! Take Away reminds me of my trip to Asia and Europe and Decorate and Pantone would really help me with my home. These books would make great conversation topics while I have company! Thanks!

  14. I love Holly Becker and have been wanting to read her book after taking her blog class. I have never heard of ‘The New Photography’ book but am obsessed with expanding my photo skills and cannot wait to check it out!

  15. i moved from sf to dc two years ago and am missing tartine. would love that boxed set soo much. i promise to take beautiful pictures of all the baked goods i make if i get it. <3 twitter // @yyyvonnedc
    instagram // yyyvonne

  16. I’ve had Holly Becker’s ‘Decorate’ on my wishlist since it was released, and Pantone colors are something I use everyday…so the whole stack would make me INCREDIBLY happy!

  17. I gave my daughter-in-law Decorate last Christmas and have been wanting a copy of my own ever since! What a joy it would be to win all of these lovely books … some would certainly end up as additional holiday gifts but deciding which ones to go will be a challenge!

  18. Ooooh pick me pretty please! I love books and could use a lot of those in my collection. I’m a designer so that pantone colour book is right up my alley, an aspiring surfer(well, currently I just swallow lots of seawater…) and an avid home cook – so that Tartine boxed set would be amazing for inspiration and yummy recipes, and also some great styling for my soon-to-launch-blog. Thanks!!

  19. What a wonderful selection! I would have to go with The History of Surfing as my top book. I love love love the culture of surfing and sometimes in the dead of winter, I’ll put on The Endless Summer on a loop to keep me going. I can imagine this book would bring a similar result. Love!

  20. I’d not heard of most of these books before, but am so excited to have discovered “Take Away.” Growing up as a California girl in China & Thailand, I have a huge love of street foods, especially of the Asian variety.

  21. i love giving books as presents because they are the kind of gifts that i am most excited to receive! i’ve wanted decorate for a while now, but the tartine box set is gorgeous as well!

  22. What a wonderful treat! I usually give books for gifts, such a great long lasting present! My fave from the stack is the history of surfing. I live in HAwaii with my girlfriend, who was born and raised here and has surfing in her blood! She would love it! Thanks Victoria for the opportunity!

  23. What?! This is awesome! I’ve spotted that History of Surfing book in my local bookshop before and got sidetracked thumbing through it — definitely my fave. Big, big thanks to you and Chronicle for such a rad giveaway!

  24. Thank you for the chance to win this. It’s an amazing selection, but if I had to pick one favorite it would be the New Photography Manual, because I love photography & you can never stop learning.

  25. I LOVE Holly Becker’s voice on her Decor8 blog, so it would be great to own her first book and be inspired for redecorating my flat over the holidays. The Christmas + New Year period is also the one time of year when I settle down with a stack of new books from my wish list to chill before the business of January.

  26. All of these books look amazing, but Tartine is my favorite bakery, and me and my sister are obsessed with holiday baking and giving baked goods as gifts, so it would make such a fun addition to our arsenal of recipes!

  27. Beautiful and generous giveaway Victoria! I love any book about decorating so DECORATE caught my eye!
    Love to you and Lucy!

  28. wow, what a generous giveaway!
we love to give and receive books as gifts as well. i do not own any of these fabulous books so i would most definitely LOVE to win. the tartine set and the history of surfing would be my top picks i am thinking.

  29. This entire selection of books is pretty darn amazing, but the one that gets me the most nerdy/giddy is the Pantone one. I’m pretty much nuts about anything Pantone. :) Thanks for running this contest!
    Twitter: @OhSoSinister

  30. Books in general are my favorite gift! to give and to receive that is. All of these are a great pic and will make any library richer. Fabulous giveaway!

  31. The Tartine one is for sure my favorite! I took a sourdough class over the summer and the tartine bread book was the instructors bible. Would love to have a copy all my own!

  32. I would love to give The History of Surfing to my brother who’s been surfing for twenty years. Thanks for an amazing giveaway.

  33. Books truly are the perfect gift! We should send my friends that memo ;)
My absolute favorite from that stack is “The Stylists”, the cover itself is already inspiring me to create some illustrations. I can only imagine how inspiring it must be on the inside.
I’m also eyeing “the new photography manual” because I have no books about photography, yet it’s a recent favorite hobby of mine.
    Fantastic giveaway!

  34. What a generous giveaway! I like all of the titles, but I’m especially loving “The Stylists.”

    @Lisa Falagan Rubio (Facebook)
    @phalagen (Twitter)

  35. Ooh my fav would be Pantone book but the hubs and I would probably read over and over again the history of surfing, since we live in Hawaii. It would also be a very entertaining beach read! :0

  36. Hey! This is a terrific giveaway! I have actually never read any of these books but am most excited to *fingers crossed* win the pantone and photography manual. Both would be a great help for my small business. My twitter is @cadematos or @herliterarysalon. Here’s hoping I win – what a great early christmas gift that would be.

  37. i love to give books for the holidays! what fun. my favorite selection from the list above would have to be the james beard foundation’s best of the best. it sounds heavenly.

  38. I love Chronicle books, my daughter always gets a little stack for christmas. I would love the James Beard book and would probably read it obsessively at night.

  39. Wow, what a great giveaway! My favorite is definitely Decorate by my friend Holly, but I have also have the Stylist book on my wish list this holiday season. Fingers crossed. @Brooklit

  40. oooooh! fabulous giveaway! my *favorite* book is ‘decorate’–i would give it to my BFF! ‘pantone’ looks wonderful, too. (: LOVE your blog!!!

  41. Tartine Bread is itself like a good loaf of bread: my favorite ingredients wrapped up into a neat, pretty package. Not only do I love bread (baking it, eating it, reading about it), I love gorgeous food photography, and I love the story of Tartine. Especially during the holidays, I’m reminded that bread is an essential part of humankind’s culture – for nourishment, for community, and for heritage. Bread is at once the everyday-est food and the most noble, and Tartine knows this and shares it beautifully in this book. Tartine Bread is a tome for bakers, photography lovers, and bread eaters (that’s most of us) everywhere. I’ve got this one on my to-give list. Thanks!

  42. I’m a huge fan of Chronicle Books.
From this stack, my two picks are Decorate, for my husband, who’s a set designer. And Take Away, because I grew up in Hong Kong and the photos look fascinating.

  43. What a great giveaway! I got to eat at Tartine for the very first time while I was visiting SF in October & loved it, so that set peaks my interest a bit. I’m also really trying to push myself to learn a bit more about photography, so The New Photography Manual would be a big help!

  44. Holy guacamole, they all look fabulous!!! I think that Decorate might be a favorite but how could I pick just one? Happy Holidays xo Liza

  45. I’ve been eyeing the Pantone book for ages. Would love to drown myself in colour palettes all afternoon with this coffee table stunner :)

  46. Without a doubt — Decorate is my favorite. Since I already have my own copy, I would love to pass along that amazing book to a friend for the holidays. For myself, I have been wanting to dive into Tartine for so long! The thought of a box set has me over the moon!
    My Twitter

  47. You can never have to many books, they all look amazing! I’d especially love The History of Surfing to feed my love of all things tropical ;) Aloha!

  48. Sitting among my stacks of books (wait, that makes me sounds like a hoarder!) I think I’d love to win these Chronicle books. If I had to pick a favorite I guess it would be the Tartine boxed set.

  49. crossing fingers (and all possible body parts!) that this is MY time to win (after participating in 20 thousand give aways by random bloggers! would be ecstatic to have the time to read “Deocrate” among all books shown above.

  50. would love the Pantone book for my graphic designer boyfriend…share the love, right? i’d probably keep most of the books for myself…except i’d have to give decorate to my mom, she’d love it!!

    thanks for this giveaway xx

    twitter: theshelbyhk

  51. I am so glad that there are still plenty of people out there who still like to read actual books like me. I would love the Tartine Boxed Set to bake my way through the winter.

  52. Oh gosh I’d love to win these books, my favorites are Tartine & Decorate! But half the fun of winning would be learning about something new…like surfing :)

  53. what an awesome giveway, free books yay! I just moved to Portland and haven’t been able to ship my books out to myself yet (they’re staying with family) and my room feels lonesome without them. Maybe this lovely pile can come keep me company! Thanks c:

  54. oh my! i do love books – picking a favorite is like having choosing a favorite child!

however, i would love to bake my way through the Tartine boxed set :)

  55. Such gems!! This selection would MAKE my color-coordinated bookshelf look even more stellar!! If I must pick one, and one only: I’m going with The James Beard Foundation’s Best of the Best. The name says it all. Social media whore: @gretabodenstab

  56. I’m a huge fan of Chronicle Books. I would love to have all of these. I’m so curious to discover the Tartine boxset and the Pantone’s book. What a nice getaway!

  57. Lovely giveaway! I adore books! I especially have had my eye in that Tartine book! Would be perfect for my collection of coffee table books.

  58. Ah… Decorate because I’m moving into a new place and desperately need great ideas and Pantone book for my graphic design. But all would be divine!

  59. I love the tartine books! i am going book crazy, trying to put together an amazing collection of books on my display cabinet to ogle at all day. my number one love!

  60. wow! the tatrtine bread book is one i have had on my list for like ever! i would love to win these books. thanks for having this giveaway, thanks chronicle!

  61. So hard to choose just one. The History of Surfing looks great
As does the photography book but who can resist
    Some new cookbooks!

  62. Are you kidding me with this decision? This is a grrreat selection. Yes, I LOVE to bake, so the Tartine box set is incredible. I’m obsessed with interior design and can flip through books like Decorate for years and find new ideas to inspire. But, I’m nothing short of a freak show for paint chips, so I’m going to have to go with Pantone. I’ve even cobbled together poetry from paint names found on samples. The Home Depot people see me coming and know I’m going to wipe them out of their samples. Fingers crossed!

  63. The History of Surfing for sure! I grew up on the ocean and have been landlocked for the last 15 years. Somedays I just throw on a surfing video just to get my ocean fix!

    Chelsea (

  64. Oooh books! I’m especially intrigued by the Tartine boxes set – but they all look fantastic!
    Twitter – @MarisaEdghill

  65. Oooh! My favourite is Decorate because I’m addicted to decor books and I love Holly’s style. Second would be tartine because, Yum!!

  66. This looks awesome. The New Photography Manual would have to be my pick for the favorite of this set. I’m toastykitten on Twitter and Pinterest.

  67. I love the Tartine books. I’ve borrowed them before and would LOVE to own them. Chronicle books has such incredible titles. @gracerusch on Twitter.

  68. Those look great. I love reading books and digit works well most of the time except when it comes to books as beautiful as cookbooks and photography =)

  69. Seems like Tartine is a popular one, and having been to the bakery for the first time yesterday, I’ll have to go with the Tartine box set. Thank you so much for the chance. What a fabulous idea.

  70. i love the tartine cook book…because i’ve been the recipient of many of the end products! would love to own a copy of my own!

  71. Definitely a toss-up between the Tartine Boxed Set and the New Photography Manual. Good thing I’ll get both if I win!

    Twitter @AllyEller

  72. Though I could lose days getting lost in any of these books, the history of surfing looks to be the most intriguing. Growing up in CA, I’ve never been on a surfboard but I’m fascinated and mystified by the sport.

  73. Really hard to choose one book… But I say Tartine because first I love to cook, second it will be beautiful on my bookshelves with my others cookbooks and third because it will be my first American cookbook! Thank you for this great giveway :-)

  74. The Tartine books (which my autocorrect wants to change to “the tarting books.”)!!! I love books!! They’re the perfect present!
    Thanks for the giveaway!

  75. I am torn! .. Intrigued by the History of Surfing and Stylists… maybe they cross paths somehow?! Great giveaway… can’t wait to win ;-)

  76. I would love to get the Tartine books!! I love to make bread and these books would be so awesome to have in helping make amazing bread.

  77. LOVE THIS!! I’ve been living in San Diego for the past 4 years and haven’t been able to relish in the deliciousity that is Tartine! Definitely my favorite! Well done, Chronicle, well done!!

  78. I would love the history of surfing book because it would make for the perfect gift for my husband – I too love to give books as gifts!. And a gift for me, the Tartine book would sure be nice! @hellocupcakellc

  79. Love this idea, a win-win for everyone! Don’t you just love the Holidays when everyone has such creative ideas for gift giving?
Looks like I have ideas for just about all of the titles, but I may keep Takeaway for myself!

  80. What a great prize! I would be happy to peruse any of these books, but the James Beard Foundation’s Best of the Best book would really be awesome… and just like most everyone else, those Tartine books are calling me…

  81. Two places I’m not allowed often (per my bank account) — a book store and an art supply store. So, winning this stack would be… cherry, cherry, cherry! If I had to pick one it would be the photography book.

  82. Would love all these books on my coffee table. Decorate and The New Photography Manual would be my favs! I’ll be following Nov 26 to see when I win! :) Have a great day! Jess
    T: @jessmunroe

  83. ::sigh::
That Greece cookbook would make winter less dreary. And Tartine bread would make the house smell amazing until spring!

  84. Okay, first, this blog is simply beautiful – just had to get that out of the way!

I’m a native San Diegan who only learned to swim 7 years ago at the age of 33. It’s my dream to now learn how to surf so that history of surfing book is calling out to me!

  85. Wow I would LOVE to win these amazing books!! The Decorate book would be great since I’m currently decorating my new home but I really like them all! :-) thanks for this great giveaway! I’ve been addicted to your blog since I discovered it a few months ago! Love everything in it:-)

  86. I’m most excited about the james beard foundation’s best of the best! Thanks! If I win, you can contact me at this email!

  87. I am most excited by “THE NEW PHOTOGRAPHY MANUAL” although, those picks are so amazing – you have such great taste!

I’d love to take my own blog to the next level – by shooting my own photos. The manual would really help me out! I aspire to have a blog as lovely as yours someday!

  88. I’d really like that Pantone book, but any of them would be inspiring and fun to display & look at. Hope I win – email me if I do!

  89. Stylists – The New Fashion Visionaries would be my pick. It used to be that no one knew about the stylists. We thought celebrities picked their own clothes and fashion editors picked the clothes for photo shoots and put it all together. Now the stylists are becoming known as the artists they are. I love Lori Goldstein! The Glamourai did a feature on Lori’s apt. a year or so ago and it was divine…. not necessarily my style but fascinating. I’ve been buying some of her clothes from QVC and I always get positive comments about them. I really should get a commission for all the customers I’ve sent their way for Lori’s t-shirts.

  90. Love this giveaway! I’m super excited about the Tartine set, but all of them would be amazing additions to anyone’s collection!

  91. The book I’d probably drool over most would be Decorate, but the one I’d use most would probably be the Photography Manual, since I just bought a camera I don’t know how to use!

  92. My choice would have to be Tartine set. Nov. 19th is just in time for Thanksgiving, so it’d be the perfect compliment to over indulging on a delicious holiday meal.

“Honey, you enjoy the football game, I’ll just sit here with my new books…”

  93. In this crazy digital world, I still LOVE books – to give and receive! The History Of Surfing sounds intriguing!

  94. What a wonderful assortment you are giving! I even see things my great grandkids would treasure! Thanks for the opportunity to win! For me the James Beard Foundation, and the Country Cooking of Greece! What treasures~ Hugs, Pat

  95. Color informs and inspires pretty much everything I do, so I would have to say the Pantone: 35 Inspirational Color Palettes books.

  96. Yey for free books!
I think the pantone book will be awesome inspiration for some new designs.
But Tartine would be my fave pic as I plan to make my own bread as a resolution for 2013 :)

  97. Hi, love the selection of books. So hard to choose but the country cooking of Greece would be by top selection but very very close would be the Tartine box set. Love love love books!

  98. Omg I love love love books. I’m a major book nerd and I have a wall of built in’s dedicated to my collection of beautiful books. One of my favorites from your stack is Decorate. It feels joyful to flip through the pages and to look at beautiful images. I haven’t read a lot of those books but the Greece cooking book would be sentimental b/c I went to Greece on my honeymoon last year. =)

  99. Thank you for the give away. Books are perfect gifts at Christmas! I really like the book on photography and I’m sure my husband would like the surfing book. Your awsome! Thanks again!

  100. I LOVE photography! I started taking manual photography in high school and still do as much manual photography as I can to this day. Everything is moving digital though and I’m trying to keep up. The New Photography Manuel would be great in helping me improve. Yay for book giveaways!

  101. My family laughs that I can disappear for days at a time when I find a good book. What a lovely giveaway. Hard to choose but for now, I love the Surfing book (I do live by the beach after all) and the Decorate. I’m trying to spruce up my apartment so that would be lovely. Thank you!

  102. I am obsessed with color! My favorite part of my design job was going through the pantone books and choosing our color palette each season.

  103. I have been drooling over Photography Manual for awhile now. They are really all fantastic books! Love Chronicle. I always go into there shop just to smell the books.

  104. I love books! One of my resolutions for 2013 is to start a library at home, I want a whole section of design and craft books. So winning your stack of books will be the perfect start!
    My favorite is DECORATE!

  105. Being of Greek decent, the Country Cooking of Greece is by far my favorite and reminds me of my grandma. But I’d happily own any of the books in this bunch!

  106. so many to LOVE! thank you victoria & chronicle for the sweet stash of pretty! as an aspiring photographer i think i would appreciate “the new photography manual” the most!

  107. the history of surfing is my most favorite.. i love leafing through the big glossy pics!
i moved to ny from the bay a few years ago but visiting the chronicle store is one of the things i still miss! your sunshiney blog keeps me in touch with most of the rest of the good stuff though..

  108. The Country Cooking of Greece would be my first choice as Greece was the first country I travelled to alone for two weeks many moons ago, and which set a pattern for my ongoing wanderlust — just show up and try everything!

  109. Oh my goodness, what an awesome selection of books! I am dying to read the Decorate and try out the recipes from the Tartine Cookbook. Morning Buns…Yes please….

  110. I’m recently married and would love that decorate book! My husband & I are looking for homes & any ideas are so fun & helpful! Also I love Photography, it’s like a sweet bundle of perfection!

  111. Decorate! I’ve been pining for that book, and I would be thrilled to win it. Thank you for the perfect giveaway, and a blog that I really enjoy!

  112. Great selection! My favorite would have to be Decorate… looks like lots of influential designers have contributed to it. Thanks!

  113. This is such a wonderful giveaway! My favorite book in this selection would have to be the Pantone book. As tough of a decision as it is, I am a design student particularly interested in color theory, so the Pantone palettes tie together so many of the reasons the rest of the books are so appealing to me!

  114. Those books all sound amazballs! The tartine set is especially drool-worthy.
It totally sucks that you’re limiting the giveaway to North America, though. I’m a military spouse that just moved to Guam because of our commitment to my husbands 17 (so far) years of service to this country, which is part of the US and USPS ships here for normal domestic rates, but sooooo many people/shops treat us like we don’t exist because we’re not ‘contiguous’.

  115. i would love the Tartine set. And I imagine the history of surfing book is pretty cool as are most of the chronicle book selections.

  116. Those stack of books are perfection! I love that every book in that stack screams about my personality and my hobbies. But I definitely would root for “The Stylists” .
    twitter: laarniamartin

  117. so hard to choose, but I have been eyeing that ‘History of Surfing’ for a long time. I bet it’s full of gorgeous eye candy. :)

  118. Thanks for the discount code Victoria! Decorate would be my favorite choice from the wonderful list of books. Love anything involving Holly Becker!

  119. Out of the 10, my favorite would have to be the 35 Inspirational Color Palettes from PANTONE. I’m always snooping for color inspiration.

  120. Being a surfer myself, The History of Surfing!
Your selection would keep me immersed in good reads all winter long.
Hot chocolate in one hand, wrapped up in blankets, looking at sets of waves while Tartine bread bakes in the oven.
    Fun giveaway!

  121. Lovely collection Vicky. I’d have a hard time parting with any of them as gifts but I’d have to say I adore the Tartine Box Set. And, of course, as a designer no one else in my life could make better use of Pantone book! So those two will DEFINITELY stay on my home shelves.

  122. I have been wanting decorate since it’s release last year. The Pantone book looks pretty fantastic too.

    Thanks for another fun giveaway!

  123. I would love to win these books!! The Tartine collection and Greece cooking books really caught my eye, and would make for a fabulous read as well delicious food!

  124. Ooooo!
I would love Tartine Bread – have been meaning to learn to bake bread for years now and The New Photography.

Would also love to pass some of these on for gifts – easing the budget a bit and sharing my love of books!

  125. I have to choose the “History of Surfing” if only on principal. I grew up on the windward side of Oahu and never surfed in my life. Maybe I could begin by reading about the history first. Thank you for this generous give away special.

  126. It’s about home – where some of my ancestors lived in Greece, where I recently savored bread pudding with seasonal fruit (cranberry and apple) at Tartine, where I’d like to move from one place to another via surfboard. It’s where my heart can be found.

  127. BOOKS!! God I love them ALL!
But I have to say that I love how you threw “History of Surfing” into the food/decor mix! Endless Summer is one of my favorite movies, so I would be super excited to crack that one open!

  128. I just purchased Decorate Workshop and I would love to read Holly’s first book, Decorate! Also those Tartine books look gorgeous!

  129. I have been wanting the decorate book for so long!! But all of the books look really interesting; I may base my winter reading list off of your list, Victoria! :-)

  130. What a great selection! My fav book on the list would have to be “Decorate”. Anything featuring Jonathan Adler has to be great. Good luck everyone (but mostly me!)

  131. Two things on my 2013 bucket list are learning to take better photos and learn some skills in decorating, winning these books would be perfect!

  132. I was craving for some bread and just checked out the Tartine Bread book from the library yesterday! I would LOVE to have the Tartine book so I can make some fresh breads at home for the holiday!

  133. Ohhh how I love books! But too pick just one favorite is impossible. If I won this set I would go straight for both the History of Surfing or the country cooking of Greece options. So fun!

  134. Um…yes, I would love to win these! I would go with the history of surfing, since it looks like I will be a far better surf scholar than surfer at this point…

  135. My vote goes to Tartine. I live two blocks away from the bakery, and my guilty pleasure is stopping by at 5pm to pick up a country loaf. The book isn’t a cookbook per se (there are only a handful of recipes), but a masterful take on the perfect loaf.

  136. Wow, I have been coveting that Tartine cookbook for months now! And I couldn’t agree more with your synopsis of one’s love affair with books. I wouldn’t trade my tiny, proud collection for the world!

  137. Hello Victoria! As an Interior Design student, I´d been taught that color should follow the function of a place. Beyond what they say in school, I believe that color can make a big turn in every environment and can make a person´s mood change immediately. For this reason, the PANTONE inspirational color palettes book is my favorite and I would love to have it and give it a great use. Thank you!

  139. Wow, that is one long list of commenters; it’s great to see so many book lovers! I worked at Tartine bakery when they first opened their San Francisco location and I was still in college. Now I’m back in school getting an MFA in Creative Writing, and am sadly not in SF (for now). Whenever I’m back in town for a visit I like to stop by Tartine for a croissant that is, as one (French) customer once put it, “the best in the world.” I’m sure I’ll never quite capture the Tartine magic at home, but I’d sure like to try!

  140. I need the pantone: 35 inspirational color palettes book
if you saw my wardrobe choices you would agree as well
What do you mean florescent stripes don’t go with rainbow polka dots?

  141. What a great giveaway-I would love this. The History of Surfing would be just the ticket to get me through a long NE winter! I love the ocean and could never live far from it. The other books are awesome too. Thanks for the chance to have these on my bookshelves.

  142. Wow, this is such a great giveaway. I have always been a fan of Chronicle, and now even more so!
You have chosen so many great books that it is hart to pick a favorite, but I think I’ll have to go with the Tartine box set.

  143. Decorate is a book I’ve perused while standing up at Anthropologie but would love to have it for my own to ponder on my couch. Thanks for such a generous offering.

  144. What a lovely giveaway! My favorite book from this collection is The History of Surfing by Matt Warshaw. I am in love with all things surfing, the research and would love to see all of the great pics!

  145. Yes! I would love to win a stack of books! My favorite in the stack above would be the Tartine boxed set – I would love to make some of their delicious recipes. Thanks to you and Chronicle for the chance to win.

  146. I was just at the Chronicle book store today–I would love the Pantone Color Palettes, and all of the other books too! Thanks!

  147. What a fantastic selection! I would especially love to have the Tartine boxed set. Borrowed one and it was wonderful; would love to own it.
    Thanks, Chronicle!

  148. I am looking forward to reading the Decorate book, I need ideas for decorating! Thank you for the great mix of books giveaway :D

  149. As a Greek girl who loves to cook Greek food, I’d choose “The Country Cooking of Greece”. I love Diane’s work, and would be interested in creating the traditional dishes I grew up on with her touch.

  150. yay books! love books, and Chronicle books are always so beautiful.
From that amazing stack I’d have to single out the Tartine boxed set. I love everything about Tartine but with two little ones it’s rare that I have an afternoon to myself or even better, with my hubby, to go there. But I can always make time to make bread at home! Side note they’re also just a few blocks from my favorite yarn shop.
The Decorate book is a close second.

  151. Oh, I’ve always wanted to try some recipes from the Tartine cookbooks, but it’s the small Pantone book that gets me the most excited! I’m a total design nerd.

  152. Wow! what a giveaway! someone (hopefully me!) is going to be getting one heck of a wonderful box in the mail! I would have to say that Tartine set would thrill me, but all the rest look wonderful as well. The Stylists looks intriguing…. Thanks for the chance!

  153. Hi guys, i like the new photography manual, and i like your giveway, even though i can’t receive anything because i live in France- i follow your beautiful blog reminding me of a city i definitely love.

  154. I’m really excited about The New Photography manual– I’ve never been able to take an official photography course. I love the variety of the books you’ve chosen; they’re like a treasure chest.

  155. I love Chronicle! And my new book-lust title is definitely the Tartine set. PS I’m velmalikevelvet on Twitter.

    Happy Holidays!
