a classic in covet garden.
by victoria comment

the latest issue of covet garden is available online, and it features a great classic home. it’s got somewhat traditional bones, but it’s also got some unexpected vintage treasures mixed with modern pieces. there’s even an IKEA PS cabinet in the mix — i swear that piece of furniture has to be one of the most versatile around (i’ve got one in my bathroom and we did this post about them a while back). but i digress — this home boasts a lovely, smoothing color palette of earth tones, neutrals, navy blues and pale grays and it all flows quite perfectly. for the full tour, visit covet garden — who by the way will be coming to print on magazine stands near you soon. i thought it would be fun to ‘get the look’, so here’s a few key pieces to get you started.

get the look: 1. vintage teak credenza from hindsvik; 2. IKEA PS LED lamp; 3. IKEA PS cabinet; 4. sukan turkish kilim pillows; 5. serena & lily tan moroccan pouf; 6. IKEA DOCKSTA table; and 7. IKEA KOLDBY cowhide rug.

  1. Oooo, love this home! And thanks for the heads up about the new issue. I’m going to have to check it out. Hope you’re feeling better!

  2. have to laugh when i see all the furniture that is now in vogue…retro or niche…. i grew up with it …my step fathers aunt still had it right through her home in pristine condition …until she moved into a nursing home 5 years ago… her nephew probably took it all to the tip….
    so funny
but i love it despite the fact it would not be good for me to have it in my very modern home…
