summer up: ice cream social.
by victoria comment

oh, what is it about summer that just screams for ice cream? maybe it’s that childhood nostalgia beckoning us when we hear the chimes of an ice cream truck nearing our neighborhood. don’t get me wrong, i love ice cream any time of the year, but when it’s hot out it seems almost instinctual to crave a lovely cool cone of it. i thought it would be fun to see what it might look like to have an ice cream tasting party — complete with all my favorite flavors, sprinkle toppings, and of course cones.

i gathered up some pretty white ice cream dishes and bowls in various sizes and some serving trays and an ice cream scoop and served out some pretty pastel-colored flavors. then i served up a few scoops with some pretty pastel cookies and waffles — yum! i am pretty happy with the results! ever had an ice cream party? a sundae party with loads of toppings and whipped cream would be delicious too, and not as expected as say, cakes and pies. i scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream.

  2. I heard the music of an ice cream truck just two days ago…first time in awhile. Love that sound, which has always meant summertime.
By the way, your photos just keep getting more and more beautiful. Lovely job.

  3. I love these photos of the ice cream, they’re gorgeous. I’m actually planning an ice cream party for my son’s birthday next week.

  4. This is so cute Victoria! The white dishes are the perfect backdrop for their pastel tones. Ice cream is by far the best thing in the world and so pretty to look at too :)
