pacific helm is a small san francisco design studio specializing in ui, application design, icons, and more. for their chic domain in the heart of the city, they brought on the talented marta crowe, who specializes in designing office spaces for small businesses. once the space was decked out, photographer kim a. thomas came in to document it all.
i can’t decide what i like more – the way marta crowe used these modern, utilitarian pieces give the space a super sleek feel, just like all cool design studios appear in my daydreams, or the way the use of color brings it back to a place you want to hang out all day, like the club house you used to wish for when you were a kid. either way, i’m already inspired with ideas for my own workspace.

I love the ship wheels — and the little fruit tree next to the gray couch! Best, Anne
