orange is the new black.

photo by joel maus for inspired by this.

it would appear that i’m in a colorful phase, because earlier this week i was way into green, and super bright scandinavian-inspired spaces and now i’m into orange. what gives? must still be my attempt to rise above this heavy layer of san francisco fog. by the way — are you watching netflix’s new show ‘orange is the new black‘? i was addicted and watched the entire first season in one week. hey — maybe that’s why i’ve got orange decor accents on the brain.

  1. I have a great orange Naugahyde armchair in my living room. I bought it because the bones were good and I figured I’d re-cover it, but I’ve kept it as-is for nearly six years now and love it.

Then I added orange Naugahyde barstools to the room, so it’s an orange Naugahyde wonderland.

  2. Eek! I have also been slightly (well totally) consumed with Orange is the New Black…just finished watching the first season this week. Loving this round-up of orange and might just have to add a few more pops in my life. Thanks for the inspiration!

  3. Great collection of photos, I posted that picture from the new york times of beastie boys mike d’s dining room a while back in my ‘Friday Inspiration’ posts, I am in love with that chandelier, and the rest of the house is gorgeous!

  4. I read Orange is the New Black and couldn’t put it down. Just started watching the series this week. I love all these photos@ Especially that kitchen with the cool oven!

  5. One week is nothing, I watched the entire season in two days (although I’m not sure I should be bragging about that).

  6. Gorgeous designs! And what a great idea for a blog post. :)

I’ve been watching the show too! About half-way through now… wow. It’s intense, for sure.

  7. I have been seeing everywhere that orange is THE color this year, but I’m so sad because this is my least favorite color haha. I’ve heard awesome things about the show!!!

  8. OMG, yes Orange is the New Black – totally addicting. Hubby is currently in another town M-F so I have to wait until the weekends to watch the next episodes. Ga! Orrrr… I guess I could just keep watching but turn his photograph over to ease my guilt over watching Mad Men, erm, I mean Orange is the New Black…

  9. Hi – For some reason, I am unable to get all of the images on your blog to load, despite trying on three different browsers. Can you please tell me the designer of the branch chandelier? Thanks for the lovely post.
