all grown up: rue issue 21.

wow, this is rue magazine’s 21st birthday. that’s a lot of magazine to put together! i really like the current august issue, and most especially this featured home in the 10th arrondissement of paris, belonging to designer nathalie genty of melijoe, children’s wear. i love the colors, and i love the charming touches of whimsy she’s added with her lighting choices — from a bird cage pendant to a japanese paper lantern, and then a mushroom lamp — all are quite splendid and unexpected in this sophisticated space. have a look around and then check out the entire new issue #21 from rue.

  1. Well, maybe today I’ve reached my interior design tipping point.
I think what did it was the rich ponytailed girl form Newport Beach and her apartment in the Marais.
    What is everyone aspiring to?
Yet another pretentious online magazine filled with what?
I think I’m craving to see a room that is actually beautifully put together – not thrown together with a stylist, but actually designed.
    2 red chairs & a paper lantern?
Don’t get me wrong – I love SF Girl By Bay, but sometimes ya gotta talk back.

    Cheers -Charly
