this home from stadshem is a stunner. and to think it was for sale. if i owned this very ecelectic home, i think i’d be likely found laying on my back all day, staring dreamily at these amazing crown moldings and ceiling medallions. people would say, ‘victoria, get up already!’ and i’d say, ‘leave me be — just a few more precious minutes’. i guess i’d finally get up, and then i’d put something on the turntable — because just look at those fabulous built-ins and that vast record collection. the kitchen would keep me busy too, because i think i’d like very much to be in close proximity to that big black scissor arm task lamp — i could cook up a storm here. then, i’d finally retire to that bedroom with it’s dramatic black walls and fancy-schmancy chandelier. anyway, it’s all very alluring, don’t you think?

I love that ceiling medallion? Is it original to the house? It looks modern…
i’m not sure. they do have some really great faux medallions out there now – even Home Depot has them. I used one in my old house.
I was thinking the same thing Meka – the medallion with the modern chandelier is pretty mind-blowingly stunning. Victoria I loved how you said if this was your home you’d be laying on your back all day looking at the crown mouldings and ceiling medallions … wish I had magic lantern and a genie in a bottle granting me three wishes cause I’d give you that one!
I love, love, LOVE the name of the post. And this is such a lovely space! Thank you for sharing!

You had me at the title, now I can’t get that song out of my head! Oh yea…and I love the fancy schmancy chandelier, especially with the dark wall- great contrast!
In love with the crown moulding and the white and grey palette!

What a wonderful vinyl collection…

Gorgeous details!
That vinyl collection is amazing! I’m so jealous. I also really love the cabinet / shelving unit! Any idea where it’s from?
that looks pretty custom-built to me, but i’ll bet you could hack something from ikea! like the expedit bookcase!
I’d like to live here…!
I love Herriot and Grace- they do have such beautiful hand made items but they are always sold! How does one even buy any of their pieces?
Stacking vinyl the way they do in this room is a @##!xxx! crime… definitely not the home of a record aficionado.
I agree with Chris D! I almost passed out when I saw that. Otherwise, nice crib. But for God’s sake, please don’t lay records flat; it’s a crime against humanity!
