green is growing on me.
by victoria comment

i keep on seeing green. everywhere i look there are pops of greenery appearing on design websites, in magazines, and all over pinterest. it could have really been influenced by pantone’s color of the year — PANTONE 17-5641 Emerald, a lively, radiant, lush green, which was the Color of the Year for 2013. and if so, that’s some pretty powerful marketing. regardless of how it came about, green seems to really be growing on me lately — even when i made up this santa monica bungalow in my dreams, i was all about the green. from house plants to art and everything in-between, here’s a bunch of green favorites i’ve been pinning.

  1. To be honest, I have never been such a fan of green, but lately, probably because of Pinterest too, I’m in love with green. Especially the darker hues. The good thing is, you don’t have to paint your apartment green, some plants are enough to add lushness to a space.

  2. There’s something about green in both interior and exterior spaces that always feels so fresh. I find it to be a very underused color, in fashion as well, so it always seem clean, modern, and looks gorgeous whenever it’s used. Maybe that’s a reason that we so often gravitate towards plants? Meh, an idea.

  3. Beautiful shades of green especially those deeper shades, would look great with this season’s craze for all things brass and copper. Absolutely adore that pear print. x

  4. There is something about green that is both restful and exciting. One of my favorite colors to use in my home. We have a bright green sofa, for instance.
